What's new

Mask exemptions

What programme was that on ?
Also was it regional, as in Uk, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, I ask as a couple of weeks ago I had an outpatients clinic for a scan, and the advice was that if I had breathing difficulties I did not have to wear one.

No idea mate, one of the breakfast/daytime shows, clipped for youtube... I don't watch actual TV. :D

It's wasn't a government doctor, just a GP giving his opinion.

See my post #91 about an hour ago.
So if it's rock I beat ya to it. :18:

I like a few of the tracks and I remember the day I bought this album, like it was yesterday, £1 secondhand, in 1981. Anyway track six, just for you

Just to clear up why i have to do this.
Basically we are the original dysfunctional family
There are 4 people in our house all adults.
Me who has COPD and Asthma and a range of other problems.
My Wife who has Paranoid Schizophrenia and not coping to well due to change of meds.
My Son who has severe Social Anxiety Disorder who doesnt know the last time he was in a shop.
Or my Daughter who has been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder who is recovering from several suicide attempts.
We dont know our neighbours that well.
No family support.
We shop at Aldi who dont deliver and Tesco who do but haven't got any delivery slots half the time.
Who should do the shopping ?
Or should we starve ?
I am not doing this just to rebel, If i was forced to wear a mask while doing the shopping there is a high risk of me collapsing in store.
I understand people's concern and i do socially distance myself from other people.
I sanitise my hands before entering and leaving each shop avoiding unnecessary contact whenever.
Me and my family have been through so much stigma in our life, over our health, we don't need anymore

As @Crewella said, it's got bugger all to do with any of us why you asked your original question.
You asked a question, got some relevant answers, and that's the way it should be mate. :)

You are largely correct mate, with a few minor exceptions, based on my experiences from many years of work in both food processing plants, and semiconductor labs processing very toxic materials such as Arsenic, and Gallium.

Absolutely agree, most people have no idea how to put on, wear a mask, and safely remove it. Also most people have no idea how to take off gloves safely, and whilst wearing them how to maximise their protection.

That is why in my opinion mandatory enforcement of wearing masks is in reality "pissing in the wind" unless you also introduce mandatory training in the correct use of them.

Here's a fun one, (something worthy of the Crystal Maze show) you are wearing both a mask, and gloves, you know that either or both of them are contaminated with a virus, or a toxic substance.
Which one do you remove first ? and how ?
Basically, I'd do what @eyeball kid said, use the cuff of a glove to pull it inside out and off hand one, then use that to remove glove 2. Wash, then remove mask by keeping your hands well away from the face and from behind so you are only touching the very end parts furthest away from where the mask sits on the face. Bin and wash, then wash some more.
Thats how I was taught anyway.

In the pharmaceutical factory it used to be gloves first via the top exterior then interior of the cuffs, (not palms As the gloves may split) then wash hands to remove the masks from behind the ear straps followed by another wash.
maybe it's different now.

Top banana old boy, go to the top of the class. :)
Nice to see that someone knows how it all works.

Nice one mate, really enjoyed it. :)
Probably the sort of things I would say, and yourself as well. :18:
I will have to listen to the other tracks on youtube when I time, if I can find them on there.

I think for the purposes of going in a supermarket, it’s ok to just put the mask on before i go in and take it off after i come out. for the purposes of not releasing coronavirus infected droplets, should i unknowingly be carrying the virus. that’s how i’m looking at it.

planning a trip to lidl later so will need to get masked up.

We're not talking about a lab though are we. I've worn full NBC suit but I wouldn't need it going to tesco !

Had most of my gear till I stopped working, body suit, hood, boots, and canister mask, etc, etc.

But Tesco is a matter of personal opinion, as far as I am concerned I don't need a mask to go to Tesco if it's going to make my breathing a nightmare. :)

That youtube link is the full album, some filler on it. I have the remastered cd, I love my records though, no fucked up loudness war or dynamic range compression going on. Modern vinyl is often junk because of shite mastering or the fact that the record sounds the same (from a mastering perspective) as the cd, it's bollocks.
