You know, I don't think my coils are the problem, I can make some awesome coils now after using metres of Kanthal. . . . I think its my wicking skills

for example on my protanks and hypertanks I use .20 Kanthal 6 wraps at 2.4ohms solid everytime, wicking with cotton ball, perfect everytime

If I do the same on an RSST or T2 it's dogshit

It maybe that because protanks and hypertanks are Bottom coil, the wicks are always wet, and the rubber grommets regulate the juice levels somewhat

Whenever I do a genny style tank, I seem to either choke the wick, or its too loose, i can never get a good wick regardless of what I try.

So anyway, built a 2.8 dual coil on my RSST and got 1.4omhs solid using .20 kanthal at 7 wraps, fired up quick, glowing great centre out, no hotspots . . . .. chucked in my wick juiced it up, fired it up . . . . shit

it was like vaping a knackered out Ce5 and my batt went from 3.7V to 3.4V in a matter of minutes

I have the same problem when i try dual coils get perfect glow but naff all when wet, the juice has a cooling effect on the coils so you don't get the vapour you'd expect also your available power is split between the two coils so if your running a volts only battery at say 3.7v you'll only get 1.6 ish volts to each coil. Which is nowhere near enough power.

You could try twisting the .20 and use less wraps, i read through the thread again can see your usinag a vamo we're pretty much in the same boat i wanna dual coil but find the 1.2 ohm limit makes it more complicated than it should be.

I'm getting short on wire atm so i've settled on a twisted .20 micro coil comes in at 1.9 ohms and vapes well enough for me.
