RBA vs pre-built - Please explain

Fused clapton's are decent in the Aromanizers. I'd recommend some flatwire flapton wire though, I find it gives better flavour and if you want fast ramp up the Ni80 one is good. It is expensive compared to other wires mind you.

You'll perhaps need some mesh strips as well if you like the mesh. Pretty sure it'll come with some though but there are better ones than the steamcrave strips around. I go for the OFRF ones myself.

Cotton wise, you'll need some 6mm laces for the mesh. I use the firebolt mesh ones but there are others and some folk like to use a couple of 3mm laces in their mesh builds. For the single of dual coils there is a lot of choice of cotton. I like cotton gods, dat white stuff or shake and vape cotton but again there are cheaper alternatives.

It's all about experimenting really mate, and finding what suits you best. These above are just my preferences.

I've been reading reviews. I hear Kendo Vape Cotton Gold Edition is one of the best available. It's not that easy to find though.
I'm not 100% that the coils will be included in the kit. But just to be safe I'll order some. What size/gauge do I need though?

Thank you mate. What about size for the normal coils? So I'll get 6mm for mesh. Is it 3mm for the other coils?

I like the 6mm ones for mesh yes mate. They're usually noted as mesh laces when ordering. If you buy a packet of cotton it doesn't have a size, it's just a big bag of cotton that you tear bits off so you do need to muck around and make sure you've got enough to go through the coil, also make sure you've not got too much either. You can buy 3mm laces, but that means you'll need to wind your coils to 3mm all the time and sometimes you'd be better with a bigger or smaller diameter coil. Depends on how much you want to experiment I suppose.

Sorry mate, just saw this after I replied. Kendo gold is indeed a good cotton imo. I tend to use it for dual coil builds where the coils get quite hot as it seems quite dense but that's just my opinion.

As for gauge it depends what you want. As noted above a 24 or 25mm flatwire or brochrome is decent for single or dual coils. Fused claptons are my preferred ones and I'd wrap those at 3mm or sometimes 3.5mm in a single coiler or 2.5mm or 3mm in a dual. I also like the coilology alien v2 pre wrapped coils you can buy. Haven't bought any for a while though.

Edit: These are the coilology ones https://vaping101.co.uk/products/co...ormance-coils-alien-v2?variant=40894725849243

This is only my personal thoughts but if you're going for DTL with plenty of flavour I've always felt that smaller coils restrict the amount of juice inside the coil so you don't want anything less than 3mm. Also if you slightly seperate the wraps it'll allow more juice to get past the metal coil to give you more flavour.

In the beginning I had no idea how much cotton was right so I found the shoelace cotton made it much easier to judge. 6mm laces are for mesh whereas 3mm laces are designed for smaller coils. I found the 3mm laces were a bit too thick to force through a 3mm coil so I thinned them down. After a while you'll get used to how much cotton you need.

Ok I've bought the following:
-Aromamizer Supreme V3 RDTA Advanced
-Cotton Bacon v2 10g (It says it's large laces and I can strip it to make my perfect size)
-9 in 1 RTA kit including snippers, ceramic tweezers, precision tweezers etc etc.
A multi-pack of coils including:
x6 0.36ohm Quad Coils
x6 0.45ohm Mix Twisted Coils
x6 0.50ohm Hive Coils
x6 0.45ohm Alien Clapton Coils
x6 0.36ohm Tiger Coils
x6 0.36ohm Flat Twisted Coils
x6 0.45ohm Fused Clapton Coils
x6 0.85ohm Clapton Coils
-Steam Crave Honeycomb mesh coils

Hope I got the right stuff. Anyone let me know if I need anything else?
The Cotton bacon didn't have a size on it. I hope it's the right one.

Personally I'd get both sizes of cotton laces (3mm and 6mm) or you'll be stripping off a lot of cotton with the 3mm coils.

If you go for something like cotton bacon you`ll have to rely on your judgement as to how much you pinch off the skein, if you go for something like firebolt laces, I find that there is about a third of the thickness too much for my preference in a 3mm id coil. In short when it comes to wicking you`ll have to find you own preferred. As for coils, 100 vapers would probably give you 100 different answers, I dont have the atty you`re getting but as a rule of thumb I prefer dual core claptons @ about 0.2 ohms in single coil atties and triple core claptons about the same ohms in a dual coil atty.

Ah so you tear off what you want with cotton bacon.
Ok, I've just ordered some 6mm laces for the mesh coils. I'm going to wait until everything comes to see if there's anything else that I need. I've just spent a small fortune on everything. The damn tank alone was like £46. Including coils, cotton, RTA kit, juices I've just blown £100.

Thanks all for your advice.

I can't even tell what size the cotton bacon stuff I ordered is.
It's this one I got: Cotton Bacon Version 2.0 By Wick 'N' Vape Organic Wicking Material Tasteless A+ | eBay

I believe 10G is 3.4mm?

That one isn't shoelace cotton. You just have to judge how much to use and just peel off what you need.

For normal coils what you want is enough so the cotton glides through the coil but does'nt cause the coil to move as you're pulling it through. It might take you a few goes to judge the right amount but you'll figure it out pretty quickly.
