RBA vs pre-built - Please explain

You've certainly picked a very good and versatile tank so you can try out things to your hearts content to find out what setup you like best.

That one isn't shoelace cotton. You just have to judge how much to use and just peel off what you need.

For normal coils what you want is enough so the cotton glides through the coil but does'nt cause the coil to move as you're pulling it through. It might take you a few goes to judge the right amount but you'll figure it out pretty quickly.

Ok. I'll work it out. I got the 6mm laces for the mesh and the cotton bacon for regular coils. If I have a hard time with it I'll just order some 3mm laces.

Yeah all reviews I've watched spoke very highly of it. In fact they all spoke very highly of Steam Crave as a company. Apparently they're known for fine craftsmanship and high quality materials.

I can't even tell what size the cotton bacon stuff I ordered is.
It's this one I got: Cotton Bacon Version 2.0 By Wick 'N' Vape Organic Wicking Material Tasteless A+ | eBay

I believe 10G is 3.4mm?

with cotton bacon you tear off a strip of what you think will be the appropriate thickness - twist the ends to a point and feed it through the coil. don't worry about it - it's easy. 10g is the weight - 10 grams doesn't sound like much, but its a lot and will last you 3 to 6 months.

PS - if those coils you mentioned are packaged in a plastic wheel with 8 compartments and each individual compartment containing 6 coils.... try to cancel them and get something else. there are lots of sellers packaging and selling these - regardless of the label and the name on the packaging they are all the same nasty coils inside. it sounds like a good idea because you get to try different types of coil - but every coil in those packs really aren't very good. The fused claptons have twisted core wires instead of parallel and the outer wrap is too thick, the 'aliens' aren't aliens at all they are thick flattened core wires with a 32 gauge outer which, again is too thick, the claptons are 26 single core which is too small to use in the aromamiser and again the outer wrap is too thick for the core wire - and the hive, quad, Tiger and both types of twisted coils are just shite.

sorry bud - lots of people buy these when they start out as they sound like a good idea. they simply aren't worth buying regardless of how cheap they seem.

i would recommend buying a small tub of 10 coils - coilology, wotofo, vandy vape all do small packs of 10 and you will get better results from any of them. 3mm internal diameter coils will work well in dual and single coil mode.

Edit - if you see something, it's probably worth asking before you buy as there are loads of different options and the choice can be bewildering.

Yes. That's them lol. Jesus F. Yeah it did look like a good idea. Lots of different coils and cheap.

Which one of these would be best?

EDIT: Thankfully the seller of the multi-pack was very quick to check his messages and let me cancel the order. Thanks for letting me know that they're shit.

Yeah there's a lot of these cheap and nasty multi packs around.

The only multi pack I'd consider is the one from Coilology.

Personally I would go for the quad core fused claptons, as it is really good in single coil mode as well as dual. The framed staple is also a decent wire but I have used both and find the quad better for large single coils, - ideally you want to use wide wires in the aromamiser and the quad core is a teeny bit wider.

Nice. I've ordered that. Found the same thing for £6.99 from a different store.
Thanks man

Glad to hekp. :)

One other point is that you'll find the thicker the wire the more it will increase the ramp up time to heat the coil and the lower your resistance will be. If you're using Ni80 coils in wattage mode that's not such a bad thing as you don't want the coil to heat too much and gunk up the coil too quickly but it's up to you how quickly you want the coil to ramp up.

Good choice.

All of the Fused Clapton and the Framed Staple and Staple Coils in those tubs are decent - and way better than those things you almost bought.

I'd use the triple 26 core for your single coil deck as they are the largest and lowest resistance coils in the deck. they do work well in dual coil mode - but because of the larger size tend to need a lot of power to work at their best. any of the Fused/Staple or Framed Staple will be good in dual mode.

I don't think the Juggernaut or Chain Link coils are as good as the others - but just my opinion and yours may differ, but they aren't shit.
