If your gonna build you need to forget about wasting wire, it comes with the territory and sometimes we have to waste it just to get the final result. My advice would be to save your scraps so you can use them on more complicated builds to hold things in place. I'm sat trying to hand wrap a quad core fused clapton tonight, and it uses alot of my scraps to hold it all in place lolView attachment 256540 Here’s my pitiful effort for tonight @Wolfgar. Just a plan Clapton 24/38g SS it’s all the wire I had left. I have went through 75m of 38g in less than a week, is that normal?
Looks like a solid build, well done man. I had a major failure today with stainless, I put a framed clapton together with a spaced fuse around it then forgot I hadn't turnt my mod down and killed the pair at 100w. The coils stayed together so I thought I got away with it but it tasted like ass!View attachment 256613 View attachment 256614 View attachment 256615 View attachment 256616 View attachment 256617 Didn’t have much wire left so I made a build with what I had. 24g & 28g SS not the best combination I don’t think. But I gave it a try, made a Half Staggered Fused Clapton, 24g for my 2 cores and 28g for the Staggered And Fused. Reading .12 single coil 5 wraps. It’s like a shock absorber for a JCB. Starting at 120watts, took it up to 150watts as high as my Mod goes. But not the best for flavour and clouds, think you would need to go up to 200+ watts to get good flavour and clouds. Anyway here’s some pictures I took not the best but I only have the iPad to take them. What do you think @Wolfgar it was good practice for me anyway lol.
