I brought ss wire(Clapton) today I've made a dual coil set up in my tripper, had a quick vape and there is a horrid harsh taste that I don't get with kanthal Clapton wire

Is there a harsh taste? Could be hot spots in the coil mate. Rewick the coil check for hotspots work them out and when you wick it just be very careful as you can knock and move the coil around with out realising it. See if that helps at all.
