Are you going to be able to keep us updated with the super cool mod or is it a secret project!

That is entirely up to the Ape I'm doing it for, ultimately it is their design so would have to ask them about how they would feel about people seeing it.

What I can do is take some open designs for popular chips like the DNA 30, 40, 200, enclosures like Flasks, and istick cases.....print, review, suggest material types and then give them away?

My GF is also working on a couple of box mods that will have 3D printed sleds and component covers, but housed in Hammond enclosures, sure she wont mind me posting updates on those designs.

Of course only with fellow ape's permission, ax is looking into making me a bit of a custom mish mash of a mod for my sx350j chip. So are you allowed to sell your 3d print designs on here it would be a good way to fund your project and it would be for the benefit of the fellow apes! I know i would buy a nice small mod.

I don't know about selling on here, and don't really plant to......I make good money from my day job, so do the 3D print stuff for fun, so don't charge for stuff, just reserve the right to say "sorry to busy right now, ask in another week".

If someone come to me with a interesting project I'll model and print it for them free, unless they want some crazy funky type of filament or a colour I don't have, then I'd charge cost.

That's the fun for me, seeing how other people want to use the technology to make custom vape gear.

Basically here to help the community, not make extra cash.

edit to add: and I think in the nexy year a few more apes will get into 3D printing and I don't want to be "The guy that sells 3D printed parts on POTV" and have somone missing out on making some cash my not wanting to step on my toes......if any of that makes sense?

I'd rather be "that guy who helps out with 3D printing question, and prints random stuff in strange plastics just t see if it works"
