Actually surely my understanding is wrong.
Propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin do not exist purely for the vaping market, surely there will be other avenues
Same applies to the concentrate
The nicotine shots, I actually have no moral aversion to a sensible amount of tax tbh, can't see how that can be dodged, but taxing the rest seems unworkable
I agree with you about the government now wanting there share of us vapes, but the government does not realise or care how many people are going to lose there jobs & therefore loose out any future tax from them & if labour get in like I think they will then vaping in the UK is fucking doomed.Mother-Flippin' government, had to stick their beak in and ruin things. Things used to be so good. Then we had TPD, we adjusted and made do with their stupid restrictions. Now they've realized there's more cash to be made from us vapers. They're losing too much revenue from us stopping smoking and they want it back.
I hope we don't get to the point where we just have memories to look back on of the time vaping was a big part of our lives. But as mentioned above, a lot can happen between now and then. We just have to cross our fingers and hope for the best.
If it all goes teats up I'm going underground, becoming a member of whatever secret DIY e liquid groups there are and trying to carry on regardless. All I know is I don't want to stop vaping and I won't be able to afford to keep going at my current rate of consumption if they start increasing prices on everything. /rant
Apparently Germany have done something to tax VG/PG I'm unsure of the details though.
Simple, make vaping prescription only, psycho Streeting said a while back that he likes the look of the Australian model. It's completely unworkable, the next government will have to try and sort it all out... which will be fun. It's not even worth speculating about yet. A lot can happen between now and then.
