So it's finally happening, I'm about to build my own mod, and a DNA 75 squonker is the chosen project...
Board, wire, mounting kit and sled from Rob @stealthvape Since rob didn't have the right size the Box, magnets and BF 510 are from Modmaker.co.uk, and some ridiculously expensive but gloriously squidgy squonk bottles from Sunbox.
All the parts have arrived and after a little fiddling and farting around a quick dry fit shows I have two options for layout...
Board - Bottle - Battery or the less conventional Board - Battery - Bottle, Tommorow I'll purchase Epoxy, drill bits Fine wet and dry and all the other little bit's I think I'll need...

@Tubbyengineer came out the closet..
Can't wait to see the results ;)

Well the Mk1 Squelchy is now active, with what is probably some of the worst metalworking in the universe...:banghead:
However I'm not particularly worried about that as the Mk1 was always going to be a working prototype, basically an experiment to see what works, what doesn't and what pitfalls are involved.
First tip - DO NOT buy Maplins drill bits, theyre shit - with a capital Poo. Second tip, think about the wiring BEFORE you drill holes and preferably solder the wiring to the board first then you can see how it fits in the box...
So far everything seems to be running Ok on this DNA 75, I'm just running the battery analyser then I'll charge the battery again and vape with it for a few days before making my final decisions on what I'm going to do - I do however know one thing for definite, I'll be getting someone to mill out the holes on the box for me rather than trying to cut it myself...

Don't knock it, the internals look spanking, and the box is nothing a dremel and some imagination won't fix.

Well there's the first problem found - The Fat daddy vapes V5 BF510 dribbles from the arse like a one year old overdosed on syrup of figs...
Thankfully I'd originally ordered the V4 so one of those has gone in and everything seems better now, still not sure about these spring loaded squonking 510's though, I'll have to have a look and see what else is available...

Please take this and constructive, I've done a bit of mod making and I'm an expert at blowing DNA boards up.....! You have beat me on that one, your mods alive and working.......

I reckon them cut outs can be tidied easy with a set of needle files, the button holes look fine...also I think the keystone battery holder is not great for 75watts...get some copper plate....was ok for the 40.... Too much resistance.

That squonking bottle looks cool and a DNA75 with a replaceable 18650 is so more practical than a fixed lipo....enjoy vaping on your new mod, it's cool.... ;)

I ran the battery analyzer last night, alternate firing @40w / resting every five seconds continuously for the full capacity of the battery - barely got warn - that was the reason I picked the Keystone with the gold contact plates.

I did however wake up saturday morning to a rather horrible leak - juice everywhere in the bottom of the box, seems like the FDV V5 was faulty swapped it out with a v4 and that seems to be holding up well, all day at the Steam tea & vape meet with pretty much no leaking I could track down, just a bit of juice lurking from the morning and from refilling the bottle...

Cracking stuff tubby [emoji6] avoid the v5 fdv it's junk,varitube or mav4 ftw
