This Corrosion

Lord Grim yours came out nice. I'll be doing a few for friends over the up coming weekend. I'll post pictures then. I'm trying some other solutions.
 
Thank you, Yes a spray bottle with a mixture of Ammonia and baking soda. Something that gets done in the work shed with the ventilation fan on.
I do like the look of the larger pattern on yours.

One sure fire way to liven up a tired looking mod thats for sure mate.

Gunna drop a sneaky pic here to of my first pop at it, since this pic was taken its been clear coated in a satin finish which when coated makes the colours pop even more :)

Another possible idea for the future: layering.
Mine was treated twice as I made the mistake of handling it too much before it was clearcoated and the blue faded. But what would happen if you used say; potassium permanganate to get a purple, and then something else on top? Maybe be a bit sparse with the solution, so you get areas of pure colour, and then areas of mingled colours.
Careful which chemicals you mix with which though!
