Just built this.....

I'm at work and can't check anything

What kind of ohms you reckon it is? Just curious, won't fire till I'm sure

3 strands of 28 gauge kanthal A-1 wire..... The bit on top is what it looked like before I wrapped it, I'm not that daft ...........

Can't say what kind of ohms but I can see this getting a hell of a lot of hot spots and not working very well but I could be wrong

Actually fired really well, it's a bright bugger. No hot spots either, not sure I will vape on it though .

Nice idea Rick but I think it needs to be a lot tighter. Clamp it at one end and use a bit of force when you plat them matey.

I had to get a friend in work to plait it lol, the I just pulled it as tight as I could with some diddy pliers, will try tighten it if I can vape it :-D

Off the top of my head, I'm guessing it's gonna be hitting between .2 and .4 ohms depending on how big the bit you wrapped it round was


Heats up fucking quick in that video, like!



I made a clapton coil the other day with 28 gauge around 24 gauge. At .5 ohms it takes a year to heat up. It's been good while I've had a sore throat/bad cough though and I can't take big hot hits.. Won't be staying in for long though

Wrapped it on the blue screw drivers you get with all the atties. That's really low though..... Is it safe?????
