I have purchased some Coilology MTL Fused Clapton Coils but the resistance of the coils is not showing up correctly.
According to the specs it should come out at 0.8 ohms.

Wire Configuration: 2-30/40
ID: 2.5mm
Material: Ni80
Resistance: 0.8ohm

I have added an extra wrap hoping for the resistance to come out around 1 ohm.
But the coil is showing up as 0.55 ohms after dry burning it.
I have tried 2 different mods but its the same.
Using this coil in the Pioneer RTA.
Anyone else have this issue?
I bought the Coilology coils since they are popular on the forum for MTL.

I use the coilology MTL sometimes. I do find it can take longer to get the coil bedded in with the dry burn. You could try spacing the coil out slightly. Also you really need to have the deck screws tightened down properly to get a proper connection. That's my experience anyway.

I have tried it. Screwed in super tight but resistance does not change.
I even bought the NI80 2-30/40 Fused clapton Wire.
2.5mm ID 8 wrap coming out at .63 ohms which is wrong according to a coil calculator.
Tried 2 different attys and 2 mods but same.
Is it faulty?

Well, if it stays stable and doesn't fluctuate it should be ok to vape. Give it a go and don't worry about it being lower than you intended. It should be fine still for a MTL vape. If you are using a regulated mod it should stop anything bad happening anyway.

I found that their coils all read lower apart from the ni80 claptons. I added an extra wrap to get them up a bit more.

The resistance is stable not fluctuating.
But the flavor is very muted. I didnt enjoy it at all.
I went back to Coilogy Ni 80 Clapton wire.
2.5mm ID 6 wraps coming out to 1ohm Vaping at 15 Watts.
Perfect for me.
Was hoping the fused claptons would be better.

I’ve got the regular Clapton MTL SS coils. They’re supposed to be 0.7 ohms. With an extra half wrap it’s coming in at 0.74 but it read a touch lower than labelled before the extra wrap.

is there any chance that they could be the staple Clapton? They’re rated at .68

I don't think so.
Looks like a fused Clapton.

Mine usually ohm-out at around .68 out of the box. I think I went through 5 or 6 boxes overtime.
