Just got a THC Tauren v1.5 MTL RDA it comes with 2 coils MTL fused Claptons, I've had a quick look around but there dont state the ohms or wattage range or gauge. What's the normal wattage range? Hopefully my mod will be deliverd tomorrow

Died in the wool MTL vapers just use plain wire, unpopular answer I know, but it's the truth. You just don't need any more than that.

With MTL RTAs you are unlikely to run them at a high enough wattage to risk burning out the wires. How much airflow you need to provide a satisfactory MTL vape has a big affect on the power levels you are likely to use. Just start low - at maybe 10 Watts and bump up the power by 1 Watt increments until you get the best vape for you. Don't worry about recommended power levels for a certain resistance coil - your mouth and taste buds will quickly let you know what is right for you.

Don't forget to experiment with the airflow options as it can also have a dramatic affect on the quality of the vape.

Good explanation, I was drawn to Tauren v1.5 as the tapered 360 air flow control looked great and the written reviews were very good. £10 in a sale helped aswell, I've taken it apart and the build quality is really good. I'm used to 0.8ohm 12watts mtl 18mg/20mg 50/50 on my pod device. I do have some 70/30 and 80/20 shortfills I want to try on better wicking devices then my Gotek X.

Hi there, just pop a build in it and adjust wattage to taste/flavour/satisfaction. Tinker with the airflow too until you find what’s right for you.

Start at a low wattage, say 10, and work up from there. If you’re on a high nicotine it’ll get a lot harsher as the wattage increases and could become too much. It’s about finding the balance that’s right for you.

I vape 8mg at 23 watts all day long but couldn’t vape a higher Nic at this wattage. My mtl is quite loose at 1.5mm to 2mm airflow. Hope this helps.

They are made for MTL, so you won't need a lot of power... I've tried similar before and just vaped at my usual wattage (around 10-11w)

Easy to build the air bridge opposite the posts comes off on a ball bearing latch, it current has the 1.5mm air hole fitted. Popped the coil inline with the air hole, tighten down allen key screws then pushed it down. Poked the wick down the wick holes. It's gurgling though using 80/20 custard caramel.

I vape 0.6 ni80 fused claptons at 16w. Just start low and increase it until you like it. I try to go to the lowest I enjoy for the best battery life.

I've found I like it with the bottom air ring fully open and 20w currently vaping RY4. Coil hole is 1.5mm as that's what was fitted as standard.
