Coilology MTL Fused Clapton Coil NI80 Wrong Resistance.

Got these a few months back and had same issue, have tried three or four. All reading .5 to .58 and very muted flavour.

IMO simple claptons work fine for MTL. Complicated ones are over engineered for low wattage.

Just the standard MTL clapton coilology wire. I use SS316L and Nichrome. SS316L will come out lower but it really doesn't matter. Don't get too hung up on the ohms.

Did you tried spacing wraps? It usually helps a bit in terms of flavour.

Yeah, tried spacing and adding a wrap or two but no joy. Also tried legs up/down and different cottons.

Something just wasn't right, filed them away in the drawer.
