DIY Custard Collaboration Thread

My target VG/PG ratio is always 60VG/40PG but some times I have to vary it slightly to get the level of flavour I want, I wont buy vendor juices if worse than 50/50 ratio as PG just does not agree with me.. Ninja has similar issue.. Steamgunk now have a smooth 50/50 option and can do it 60/40 in sizes bigger than 30ml, not an option on the site but they will do it if you send them a message..

I used to order from vapology 60vg/40pg enjoyed it a lot more than higher pg juices

They seem to give me a scratchy throat for lack of a better explanation.

@sparkyjuice I didn't like it in my RDA's tasted harsh & burnt even at 1.2 ohm.. great in my Kayfun at 1.9 ohms :)

@Vs_1991 Thats the problem I have, PG is savage on my throat.. its all about the smooth for me :)

Nicoticket - Custards Last Stand knocks spots off most other custards imo, steamgunks is a nice one I will agree there.

I have him to thank for me finding Steamgunks - Captain Custard and its that good I have put in an order for another 30mls today, which has to say something as I normally just DIY.. all my vape budget for this month now spent on VC related items lol..

:)

In my very humble opinion, @steamgunks custard is the best out there by a country mile, although Digbys is close, & @krakens kingslayer is out there on its own as a custard with a twist.

I have tested some very very good custard from a soon to be vendor that i think is gonna be a big player with custard, but cant really mention them yet as there not ready to start selling just, but drop me a pm and ill point you in there direction ;)

The yanks seem to have a good thing going with the way they do there custard....goosejuice is totally epic, and 100% VG....great flavour and awesome vapour.....how they manage to get the flavour with only VG is something that you just cant get here.....

Theres another vendor that is having his own custard mixed in the USA, and if its anywhere as good as some of the other juices he sells it will be epic......

Their Creme brûlée is pretty special too. I vaped it all too soon cos I tried the last few drips from the bottle in my dripper and it was stunningly good to the point I could just sit there with a big smile on my face repeating ""oh wow!" and snaking my lips together!

as for DIY recipes, my personal favourite is 15% Capella VC, 5% tpa butterscotch. You get the custard flavour but with an added richness of flavour-yum!

Thank You Purplefowler for getting this thread back on track lol.. was turning into another custard comparison thread rather than the intended DIY Custard thread.. ;)

I've seen many variations using Capella most seem to suggest 15% to 20% then the addition of sweeteners and EM to taste, several others adding creams &/or DLL and even one adding milk.. I think it probably needs the lot lol..

Being a tight git.. I am interested in how the £2.99 for 30ml from ebay fairs from Vapours-R-Us they have sold 455 of them on the current listing, I have tried other stuff of theirs & its as good as Classikool or FF IMHO..

Just thought I would post the version of 'Stevo's Vanilla Custard' that I found on another forum (USA based I think looking at the members)

15% Capella VC
6% TFA Sweetener
3.5% TFA Whipped Cream
2% Capella Egg Nog
2% TFA Smooth
1.5% TFA Graham Cracker
1.75% Capella Butter

I don't see the point in the Graham Cracker or the Smooth but who knows.. experimentation will tell, once my supplies get delivered..

I think I am going to have to try Lordy's milk frother speed steeping, else waiting a month to test each mix will become a chore..
