I have kept quiet about my opinion to all of this, simply as I do not want to drag PoTVs awesome name through the mud if I was to mention it. At the moment there looks like there is a bit of hope, and decisions might get overturned, and I really am hoping so, but hey I am ever the optimist :)

Now if it doesnt get overturned, then I the only thing for me that will change, is the apparel that I will be wearing.

My protest will not be to stay away, it will be to get in there, hand out leaflets, even some other stuff, that has been mentioned and a cracking idea, all in a peaceful manner of course. :)

Excellent.

We all do things in whatever way we can.

If they overturn this decision, then I might even buy you a pint there... stranger things have happened :D

At the moment, to be thoroughly blunt... I am fed up with vested-interest attitudes and opinions across our cracked and fractured country... so that colours my reaction to this little nugget.

Who are EFVI if not vapers... vapers that have got off their arses and want to create regulatory conditions for the industry and user that would benefit ALL, present AND future?

It beggars belief that the organisers... AND vendors... don't support such an organisation to the utter hilt. Provide a free spot... provide free leaflet printing... provide free banners... promote the stall through a few voice announcements on the day... and not EXclude them on the spurious grounds that - in their opinion - the day should be 'fun and politics free.'

Given the tens, if not hundreds of thousands of squids that those on the other side of the stalls will be walking away with, I'd like to see them insist upon contributing a few extra pence each towards such an EFVI presence, or at least be given the option so to do.

Any vendor - and I can think of one immediately - that supports this decision of the organisers, will not get a penny off me, either.

Just me, is all. Other opinions are valid and available :D

Well i respect your view, no probs honest but it's no vendor at fault. Let's face it, loads of vendors already help & support the efvi & we can't expect them to do anything other than.

Now that's a shocker. Not sure what to make of it. I wanted to attend as a vendor. I don't sell fancy shiny things (although your lips may be shiny) but now I am not sure. It would be nice for the organisers to pop in and explain. We don't know the reasons so all we do here is speculate.

I'm not suggesting that all vendors are at fault here, or that many don't support EFVI. At all.

I'd like those to be given the option of supporting EFVI at Vapefest. I'm sure many would... and gladly.

Others though... don't... and wouldn't.

As an individual, all I'm saying in this thread is that I will support an event and buy from vendors based on more than merely cheap prices and fun... I want to see pro-active action from event organisers and vendors and will open my wallet based on that.

Is all :D

As the question has not been answered in respect of vendors able to give out flyers or have petitions, I really do suspect that the vendors have their hands tied too. The problem is the egotistical organisers, have them by the bollocks, because its plain to see with responses like, people will come in masses and that is plain arrogance.

I am really proud and chuffed that the mounting pressure is being voiced, and hope they can see the error of their ways.

Jon at Flavourart has just announced they will NOT attend VF but if anyone runs an EFVI stall and signs petition they will give out a FREE bottle of juice to every one who signs there.

It will happen.

There will be a re-think and climb down as Vendors are pulling out quicker than a gigolo on a speed test.

Shame but ££ signs speak more than words.

:)

just announced ... there is now some headway and discussions are underway with PLI ( public liability insurance ) regarding EFVI having a stand and should be hopefully updated with fingers crossed good news monday
