Got fat?

If you have any issues with your lumbar spine, or regular pain down there, don't do sit ups.
Its ok, its one of the few things that doesnt bother me *shrug*

Im only doing 50 situps, thats actually not that much. Just enough to start to get a burn

Pushups tho r real hard on my back. It apparently takes a lot of back muscle to hold u in that plank position

Can you do kneeling pushups? You're "only" pushing about 50% of your bodyweight with those

I really want to do yoga a) to chill me out & b) get me more flexable. I don't want to go on my own though & the mrs won't come with me :18:

3.8km run, 60 minutes lasted, four goals scored - no heart attack suffered.

In fact the biggest problem was my watch attempting to call me an ambulance three times after a suspected fall :D

I am open to signing pro terms for league teams with an interest in improving their firepower.

Well done mate [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

Nobody is more surprised than me that I made it to full-time :D

The Cobblers could do a lot worse than sign a 57yr old morbidly obese forward tbh.

I’ve been doing the same thing @Mawsley - usually stick around 13st on average, over the course of the lockdown I managed to pack on another 2 stone. Being quite lanky i looked ridiculous, pretty much the same but pregnant.

Started around 5 weeks ago, a combination of working out what was going wrong, restricting calories and daily gym. I stared at 15st 2lbs 5 weeks ago and today weigh 13st 10lbs.

Quickly worked out that my main problem was liquids, wine, beer, milky coffees, sugary drinks etc. I figured to make this consistent I would have to make it at least mildly enjoyable, so I switched wine and beer for vodka and diet lemonade, lattes for black filter coffee or espresso, regular cola for Coke Zero etc.

I then opened a my fitness pal account and scan everything that I eat or drink daily. For my height and weight, to loose 2lbs a week I’m aloud 1500 calories per day, which I pretty much split in to 3x 500 calorie meals and don’t snack at all.

Hit the gym every morning before work, 30 minutes on the rowing machine and 30 minutes of weights, which to be honest I quite enjoy! Stick the headphones on and go to another planet for an hour is pretty refreshing, I definitely am more productive at work since starting this, I seem to just get shit done and feel nowhere near as stressed.

And to be honest, if I want a donut I’ll have a donut. I find that if you tell your self you’re absolutely not aloud it under any circumstances you very quickly get pissed off with it all and lapse. So if I want it, I’ll have it and then pay for it in the gym the following day :)

Would 100% highly recommended joining a gym though, being surrounded by people doing the same thing with the same goals certainly gives you a push to get it done and power through it. All sorts of people in there, fat, thin, average, male, female, old and young. For me the gym has made it fun and made a massive difference on my outlook, would recommend for sure!

Good work fella.

Gyms aren't for me. I'm happy cycling at home and now playing footy again.

I'm trying to stick to a sugar and carb free diet quite rigidly - but I agree on the treat thing and had a pizza on Friday.

I was diagnosed as Type 2 diabetic last April, bloods came back last week and I am now not one - fuck knows how seeing as all I've done for lockdown is eat and drink crap. Must've been the impact of the last month on its own.

That’s awesome news mate! Sugar is certainly the worst offender for all manor or things, you just don’t realise some stuff is loaded with it until you begin looking at the labels more do you?

I was consuming shit loads of sugar in drinks alone, which I understood to be not great for you at the time, but to that extent I had no idea. The amount some things contain is insane.

The odd treat when you fancy something and sticking to it the rest of the time, I’m sure is what everyone does. Enjoy what you like in moderation, or bang a few extra miles out the day after to work it off if you over indulge. Life is too short to eat boring stuff all the time isn’t it.

I wish you the best of luck with it :)

I've cut normal sugar out altogether. Not sure if it's a good idea or not but for the past couple of months I've just been putting one drop of CAP Super Sweet in my tea and coffee. Does the job quite well.
