What's new

Matt Hancock

Didn’t he say we should all be using it only where needed - and usage it only where needed so there is enough for the most important places?

He did in fact - I watched it.

Context is important!
Sounded very much like an vailed accusation of profligate use of PPE, by NHS staff. Coupled with recent comments from members of the 1922 committee. Blaming the entire PPE and general lack of preparedness , for this pandemic. Entirely on the existence of the NHS. It's a level of governmental delusion that should worry anyone.

Also keep in mind that patel is sorry if people feel there have been failings. But doesn’t really give two fucks.

I don't know how many other countries had made long term preparations for such things as a pandemic, some probably have, and have done it well. We don't do things like that in the UK, everything is pared to the bone, Its long been like that, but certainly has been made much worse with austerity, the Coalition Government and the Tory ones since, Tories are no more than political accountants, dodgy ones at that. We don't have a sovereign wealth fund, we could have started one when Thatcher came to power and the UK became an energy powerhouse itself, due to North Sea Oil. But no...

" rapid natural immunisation." Fcuking moron. There is, as yet, no evidence of any immunity amongst human victims. That one comment indicates what a total fairy tail the rest of the item is.
Thanks for the laugh though.

At least quote in full:

Numerous internationally renowned experts from the fields of virology, immunology and epidemiology consider the measures taken to be counterproductive and recommend a rapid natural immunisation of the general population while protecting risk groups.

Surely this is the idea of herd immunity?

Aren't we doing just this by sheilding various at risk groups? Although this is only partly true as most of these groups are being asked to fill in DNR forms in advance. :11:

Admittedly the "rapid" part isn't happening as the NHS couldn't cope hence why it's being implemented in a protracted way; the lockdown may be lifted and reintroduced several times depending on infection rate.
