What's new

My first ever coil build and dripping session went so well ...... I hate it.

I've been vaping for about a year and 3 months and dripping was one of those things that was on my list, but I wasn't that keen to try it ... sounded messy. ;)

Anyway, this week I saw that dw1986 was selling a Zorro RDA, that I'd read was easy to build with, so I bought it - and the darned good fella threw in a free Wotofo Troll as well! :14:

So today was the day. My first ever coil build was aiming for 1.5ohms (start higher and work down philosophy), and to my amazement came out at 1.5ohms, and actually fired!!!

Popped it onto the Zorro, which I'd thought would be a nightmare as a dripping newbie - took about 2 minutes to get into place and secured up. Got my wick cut, through the coil, soaked up and into the reservoir ..... oops, that bit's the air channel ..... quick clean up later and I was set to go.

Wasn't expecting much with a 1.5ohm coil - especially built by me - but gave it ago, and could not believe how good the vape was...... blown away!!

I've still got a lot to learn about dripping (especially how often I should drip onto the wick - I'm probably overdoing it at the moment, but want to avoid burning the wick).

....and I HATE this dripping business. Why? After 10 minutes vaping what I class as one of my crappest juices* on the dripper, I went back to one of my favourite juices in the Subtank, and it didn't taste or vape half as well !!!!!!

How can any tank compare to this bleedin' dripping business?!?!

Madness. :)

*the juice in question was from one of my favourite vendors; Hodges Home Brew "Refreshers". It had almost no taste in any of my tanks, sub-ohm or not. On the dripper it tastes fantastic.

You're now a fully fledged drip! Welcome! :D

How often to drip will come naturally over time! you get to know when it needs a few drops, just by the slightest change in the hit, slight lack of flavor. sounds weird, but I have a few ways of knowing, by the sound of the vape ect.

Welcome to the club. I've been dripping for the last 2 weeks and I'll be hard pressed to switch back to a tank.

Noob dripster here too, got mine a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoying myself playing, and experimenting with various builds.
I still like my tanks during the day, but evenings belong to my RDA.
I've definitely noticed what Hazard93 mentioned with regard to the 'feel' of the vape and knowing when to top it up.
I'll see you on the coil porn threads!

haha im a recent dripper converter from sub tank... Blows any tank out of the water, well anything I've tried. It makes any flavour 10x more intense and cloudy, I was shocked to try old juices on the new dripper.

Blew my mind :)

Only annoying thing about dripping is when driving, or I'm finding i get bits of juice on my mod itself, I'm assuming its maybe a little leaky? Not so sure.

Been dripping for a while and while I enjoy the extra flavour and clouds it gives me I still love my tanks, especially for convenience sake (when out of the house or gaming). But dripping definitely is a different experience and playing around with different RDAs and builds is fun :) Thankfully I think I have got all the drippers I need for now so won't be buying any more.... except maybe the freakshow and the armomaiser and.........

I had a similar experience when I first started dripping. I tried using it out and about but got annoyed and went back to tanks. I bought a Rose v2 because I had heard how flavoursome it was. 1 dead clone and an original later I now use the Rose during the day and drip in the evening. Now I just need the money to buy a Snapdragon to see the flavour from that, turning into quite an Eden mods fanboy.

Drippers retired all my RTAs last December ... 28 RDAs later and I'm settled into my top 5.

RTAs have recently made a come back though, the Goblin Mini and the Aromamizer RDTA in particular. Horses for courses now ... ;)

I'm not entirely clear how the Aromamizer RDTA works, is it like the Big Dripper where you press on the tank to re-drip the coils?

someone else has seen the light and been converted..... once you drip you never go back. wait til you try the derringer. oh yeah and the revolt (clouds and flavour). mix your own high vg juice and thats it. your gone, enjoy the ride.
