Original or Clone?

This is my current stance, I reserve the right to amend my opinions as I see fit ;)

I do like the motorcycle part, I do know this was going to happen on one atty but it got slung out, I guess in a way on another the kayfun they did with the 3.1 bringing out the kayfun lite, but rumour had it this was also to combat when the 3.1 got cloned.

Whoops....

Sincerely, as ever, for somebody who has only been vaping since November and off the stinkies since December, I cant thank you all enough

Every single point raised is my basic internal monologue when looking at the rebuildables, specifically the atomisers

I had bought myself quite a few mods and still had the shiny itch, so i asked for advice and one of the members on here brought up the Kayfun

I looked into it and thought, this could perhaps be the next move for me... and it is, I'm addicted within my addiction

So I have a few Innokins and now have two, original, RTA's

So now I have the confidence that I'm beginning to know what I'm doing and can look into all of the buzzwords Ive been hearing, mech mods, RTA's, Dripping and son on and so forth

Do I have shinyitis.... hell yes, but its not about keeping up with the jones's for me

Its more to do with keeping me off the cigarettes, its all new and exciting and fun. For me, I believe that the continued peaking of my interest is helping me stay off the cigarettes. I havr this feeling that the longer i can stay interested/excited about it all, the further away smoking will be from my normality.

I applaud those of you that buy a couple of mods, acouple of pro tanks and an RTA and you're done, but i know, for now, thats not me.

I have this need to build my new 'habit' into something varied and interesting.

As with any hobby that requires the purchase of multiple assets, it costs money

i'm saving £10 a day not smoking, but i'm not saving anything

Well, anything other than my life

I now have two quality products, but they are two VERY EXPENSIVE quality products

Being a realtive newbie it is a strange market that enables exact copies, right down to the logo's, to be copied with any recompence. But it happens

For me, I'll always attempt to go for the orignal as it seems the right thing to do

But, there are products out there that have been machined to the same tolerances and are reviewed to show me the'll give me the same experience, so it it tempting.

There are of course SO MANY arguments for and against, and it is great to see them on here

For now, ive bought nothing other than what I have, and am not intending to...yet, I'll just continue to read the replies and i can assure you, regardless of your stance on this, they are all relevant to me

Cheers

Sean (currently vaping on a real RTA, and noticing he has those saucepans, that look like THOSE saucepans, but are supermrkets copies/fakes/clones....hmmmmm)

To the op

I have clones, fell into mods a few weeks ago. I may have originals in my starter evod kit, or i may not. I like vaping, the lads and lasses here a great to talk with, have a laugh and a joke with. No one cares what tool is used to get the nicotine into our system, be it something knocked up from an old baccy tin or a high end device. I tagged ElsaBubs to add his thoughts as i know he is an out and out original user guy.

Its your choice. All we ask is whatever you go for, stick a photo up so we can ooo and ahhh when you get it :D

I agree in most things said earlier in this thread, apart from the "everyone can afford a high-end mod" as I can never justify spending £100+ on a piece of stainless steel without starving myself & my family. As Mawsley just said,IF the high-end mod makers were to introduce a budget range to increase their market awareness then maybe I would consider buying an original(I only possess 2 battery tubes,a Vamo & a Kylin clone)but as I am able to build my own devices with nothing other than a soldering iron, they don't look like much but they work well enough for me,I doubt even if I could buy an original item for under £20 that I would. These threads always become very heated but I fail to see why people like me that are happy with a battery tube that cost me £10 should irk others by stating that my own opinion is as I posted earlier.

As much as I respect that the people designing this stuff are the ones moving the game on, for me it's just that I can't afford or justify spending such big money on mods and atties.

I just can't, so clones it is.

I find it frustrating that EHPro and HCigar and all the rest don't just consider making small changes, even just aesthetically, and create their 'own' designs even if they're mostly unoriginal underneath - they obviously have superb manufacturing and with a little bit more effort, they could have their 'own' products - like Smok I guess.

But I suppose they don't have to, so why would they.

Very cleaver you wouldn't want to be a member on their.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA:P

To make the changes would cost them more money :) Removal of the logos wouldnt though. They should at least do that.

Then again it comes around to "protecting ya shit" for what these things costs, theres no reason why CR and TMs arent being taken out internationally. I also think no one realized the ecig market was going to kick off like it has, it has exploded in the last 6 months alone. Many people mistakenly thought we were all going to be a niche group on teh interwebz for a very long time. Oh how wrong we all were!
