*sits back and waits for boobs*
No reason for a civilised open debate to be locked, it's not as though we have called each other twats or anything
i have my views
whit has his
sam has his
blossom has hers
meg has hers
oh hell everyone has there own lol
I know, but history says these things tend to degenerate - especially if I start throwing in what I think
throw it in seeing as your a reviewer mate, you should know what's what And have a valid view point
After fielding a number of emails from some people who read the blog I feel it’s appropriate to lay out my position on what I review and where I spend my money.
First and foremost, without original manufacturers there would be no clones. Original manufacturers innovate, invest and labour to produce vaping gear that is of the highest quality they can release to the public. I buy original equipment because I like the look of it and I believe it will work well, having carried out a lot of research and read/watched other people’s opinions. Very few people can be on as tight a budget as we live on and so when I want something I do a thing very new to me – I save up for it.
Clones. Without clones I would not be buying original products. I bought clones from China exclusively while I was working out what worked for me and what didn’t. I believe that the clone market will never go away and attacking it with legal action is a waste of money. I believe that threatening shops and group buy organisers is a wholly counter-productive thing. I am sure that I am not the only person who will never buy a product made by one certain manufacturer due to his actions in the States.
I believe that the way forward for manufacturers is to adopt a Harley Davidson/Triumph motorcycle model of business. Both sell high-end motorcycles to enthusiasts but they also include budget-priced options within their ranges in order to attract new customers and build brand loyalty. I wish more mod makers would produce affordable lines of products within their product mix.
I will continue to buy both original products and clones and I intend to carry on reviewing both clones and originals. My finances mean there will still be more clone reviews than original ones as much as I would like have a better balance between the two. This is because my reason for writing this blog is a) for enjoyment and b)to be informative in an entertaining way offering something different to the video reviews.
I do not believe that clones stop the sales of genuine products, I believe they enhance them. I would never have spent virtually £180 on a genuine Maraxus before trying the clone first. I would never have regularly spent over £60 on dripping atomisers had I not found out how poor most clone versions were. I owned the clone of the Immortalizer – it means I will now buy the original Immortalizer (albeit waiting for the next version). This supports my position that if manufacturers could offer cheaper, scaled-down versions of products people would be more inclined to shop locally than from the Far East.
Finally, I believe that vaping (as much as we are one giant community sharing a hobby/obsession) is a personal thing. Life is not black and white and we all move around in the shades of grey. The sole intention of this blog is not to advocate buying one thing or the other but just to offer my perspective on whether an item is up to the job or not. And, to reiterate, I believe that everybody should support original manufacturers at what ever level they see fit as without them we would not have the options in front of us.
Vape on.
And to support that - you can buy original Pinoy mods from £40 from @midlands vaping.
I receive neither discount nor free products to say this.
