First place I checked ...the only thing I could find was some kitchen wipes from Costco. They didn't work so now it's soaking in salty vinegar, ready to be baked in about 30 mins.

Soz for late reply, how did it turn out?
I briefly buffed the brass with wire wool and cleaned in white vinegar, covered in rock salt and table salt and suspended over ammonia in a sarnie box for roughly 3hrs.
Bought my ammonia from homebase for £2.50.
Want to try copper next

Hi thought if share my way of patina I did my paps lux tubes and what I did was use some of my partners hair dye that had ammonia in it covered the tubes in the mix and left in a plastic bag over night and did a very good job. Going to try my copper nemi and leave it abit longer and see how it turns out lol

Not great, and not worthy of a pic. I used salty vinegar and the oven, left it overnight and the results aren't good.
I'm off out now and will pick up some ammonia, give it a sand and start again I think.
