Sadly, I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to pipes and I could spend a fortune there, I really could.
Stems are now harder to find, well......... Stems that are worth having that is. Churchwarden's in particular are always something of a lottery as they need to be tight fitting, or you will run into trouble.
It's such a shame, one of the most respected Stem Makers for Briar Pipes and e-Pipes passed away 2 years ago and now we are all really struggling to find really high quality stems.
Unfortunately, a decent stem is ALWAYS going to cost. Yes you can get them for pennies around the web, but in the main, they are very poor.
