Short fills and long fills to be included in the ban

Yes, after the menthol fag ban.

I was merely showing that workarounds can be found in many circumstances, so hopefully will in terms of a flavour ban.

But in the event of a shortfill ban (well, anything larger than 10ml product designed for vaping) which seems likely, I don't see anything other legally abiding businesses simply not selling them, but others selling them by flouting the rules (in a similar way that many vendors disregard the 2ml legal limit on disposables), which will also happen with flavours as well...

As I read it flavour restrictions will also apply to non-nicotine vapes so that covers shortfills but I didn't see anything that said they'd be banned.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what the zealots come out with as to what workarounds are possible.

The workaround for the Sterling brand is that it is classed as a cigarillo (the cigs are dual wrapped in tobacco leaf), and thus can be sold in packs of ten, thereby avoiding the ban on the sale of packets of ten cigs.

FWIW, a minute after I posted this, we received an email from some guy at Juice Sauz Distribution (not sure I've heard of them) who has said -

A crowdfunding campaign has launched to raise funds for a legal challenge against the government over its announced restrictions on the sale of vapes.

Several vape brands, retailers and wholesalers have already backed the raise – which is nearing its £15,000 initial target. The money will be used to engage a King’s Counsel barrister to provide expert legal advice and advise on the best course of action to challenge the government appropriately.

The campaign has been launched by the newly formed Vape Protection Alliance (VPA). The group – led by Arcus Compliance – says it is “not looking to prevent a ban of disposable vape products” but wants to work with government “on sensible measures and timescales to phase them out” with a “reasonable sell-out period”.

It also wants to “maintain flavours, described in a reasonable and adult manner” and “maintain open display and sales in specialist retail outlets”.

They won't be banned but shortfills would be as useful as a condom full of holes - what use would a 10ml shortfill be, it's a de facto ban.

Told people we dont a disposable ban as that will be the precedence to go after everything. Its classic problem>reaction>solution, the solution is what they wanted in the first place.

imagine that obnoxious vic character becomes the face of the vape protest movement. they’ll end up banning the lot. not holding out much hope, if he does :)

None but did anything we've seen say they are banning them?
The gov bumf states treated as eliquid with nic in it, that means pre existing tpd rules will apply, plus any other shit they dream up. So 10ml max bottle size plus mhra approval for the flavours. That's the end for shortfills imo.
