did you see this in the comments?
The gov bumf states treated as eliquid with nic in it, that means pre existing tpd rules will apply, plus any other shit they dream up. So 10ml max bottle size plus mhra approval for the flavours. That's the end for shortfills imo.

This.
If it's treated as a nicotine product then not only will sale be limited to 10ml bottles, it would also be liable for any nicotine tax.
As annoying as Vic can be I can't disagree with anything he's said (but I really wish he could drop his "I was right" comments).
I believe most current longfill/shortfill manufacturers will be screwed. If there was no majority for restricting flavours in the last consultation but it the subject of restrictions hasn't been dropped then the decisions were made before the consultation and the outcome of it made no difference. I have no confidence whatsoever that any future consultations will make any changes to their pre-determined decisions.
I can accept tax increases and already accepted it was inevitable, but no flavour restrictions. If the choices are tobacco, menthol or mint my future is probably going to be Golden Virginia or Old Holburn. DIY mixing isn't a realistic option for me

Or any British companies that have invested heavily in one of the new style disposables, that will presumably be banned within the year...
I haven't watched that video btw - is it just me that can not sit through a whole video of that guy.. his preaching/ talking down to technique I find highly irritating...
Very true; hence why I find that Vic guy even more annoying...
But tbf it does seem likely in my mind that shortfills etc will be banned, due to the proposals that zero nic be brought under the same regs as nicotine e-liquid.
I am not someone who is into Mixing so that's not an option so it will be definitely be smoking for me unless by some miracle not vaping meaning i have to smoke, i have quite a bit of liquid that will last a few months and will be buying more till the Bans come in. Have you also took into Consideration what will happen to POTV after the Government has shafted us, a vaping Forum is no good if you can't vape etc.
so say goodbye to shortfills and longfills
There are so many businesses, vendors, e-liquid producers and the like that will forced out of business/ possibly even bankrupted by the proposed legislation it's mind boggling. Just ban the Ds' and move on, no need for anything else. The only legal juice that will be available to buy is 10ml bottles, of menthol, mint, baccy, and possibly fruit flavours.. It's fucking lunacy
but “the shortfill longfill loophole has closed” is hysterical scaremongering. nothing has closed. they’ve not even done the consultation or had a debate about it yet never mind drafted legislation. nobody can be sure at this point how it will turn out.
https://www.gov.uk/government/consu...ne-vapes-and-other-nicotine-consumer-productsNon-nicotine vapes (or nicotine-free vapes) are covered by the General Products Safety Regulations (GPSR) 2005 in the UK.
Like nicotine vapes, they can come in liquid form to be used in a device or already contained as a liquid in a device. There are 3 categories of these types of non-nicotine vapes:
Alternative non-nicotine vapes are often advertised as wellness vapes. They are not currently subject to the same age restrictions or product standards as nicotine-containing vapes and there are some calls for non-nicotine vapes to be regulated in the same way as nicotine vapes.
- shortfill and longfill vapes
- disposable (single-use) vapes
- alternative non-nicotine vapes

The UK Government intends these measures to be taken forward in secondary legislation which will be subject to further consultation.
- restrict vape flavours
- restrict how vapes are displayed in stores
- restrict packaging and product presentation for vapes
- apply the above restrictions to non-nicotine vapes and other consumer nicotine products such as nicotine pouches
