UK Gov To Ban Disposables?

If you're referring to the Trine then Innokin have said the removable battery is rechargeable, and the pods are refillable.

I'm happy to hear I got that one wrong, and, from today, will stop muttering cnts any time I see an Innokin logo. A regular pod system with the option of swapping the lipo when tired or putting in separate bins for recycling when it comes to its end of life is a good thing.

As it can be recharged, refilled and the pods/coil can be replaced it isn't a filthy D after all. Nice to hear.

Here's an example of a TPD compliant rechargeable refillable disposable Aspire One Up R1 Disposable Pod Kit (first on the market a couple of years ago). You can not change the coil or pod.

Sometimes these kind of devices are sold with a bottle of liquid.

Here are some newer versions -

Both still a disposable, because you can't change the coil.

[Edit: if the Snowplus Clic makes the pods available separately, then it wouldn't be classed as a disposable; but the other 2, the pod is fixed in to the device.]
Thanks for the two examples but these two are slight variations on the theme. They are unlike 99% of the disposables in the market place today.

The Aspire is an alternative where it requires the user to purchase their own liquid and fill it up and use. It's not a single use device. The device can be used time and time again until the coil no longer functions. I would say this is a hybrid on the same principle as an integrated coil in a refillable pod with the obvious difference being the device is useless once the coil is knackered.

it’s as much a single use device as a disposable electric toothbrush, which you can fill up with your own toothpaste until the battery is depleted and it goes in the bin. maybe not exactly “single use” but definitely disposable.

Is it "as much" or "maybe not exactly as much".

Unless the weans are buying them by the bucket load and sticking them up their arses at playtime instead of toothless gerbils...I would let them be:)

Not going to argue the toss as to what is a D and what isn't, seems to me they're (esp. Labour) coming for all of our vapes, no matter what you use.

Likewise refillable pods are disposable - fill 'em as much as you like (or can get away with), and then throw away (disposable). It's a consumable part.

When a device has a consumable part that is built in or not replaceable (or has a battery that does not have the capability of being recharged in the device, or replaceable), then the whole device becomes disposable.

Gotta love when conversations get bogged down with semantics... by the usual knicker twisters.
