UK Gov To Ban Disposables?

Maybe I didnt make it clear.
A disposible is a device that is prefilled with e-liquid and has no means of filling it up with e-liquid or replacing the pod or coil. The bigger disposables are rechargeable and have variable wattage control.

Which just goes to show that dumb and ill thought out regulation has unintended consequences. If there was no dumbass rule restricting capacity to 2ml then the environmental impact of disposables could be a fraction of what it is now with people not restricted to buying disposables that most likely won't even see them through the day.

I dunno. I got through ‘6000’ puffs of 50mg raspberry ice cream in two days. :18:

Did you fly home or just float over on the trade wind?

One thing you can be sure of is once these manufacturers get sight of the wording of any new law they'll come up with new designs to get around it and keep the money train rolling for as long as they can.

Why should they care if they completely destroy vaping in this Country? Once they've milked it for all they can get out of it they'll just move onto to make money somewhere else where there's a profit to be had.

I hung onto Trump’s fringe that was billowing in a light breeze and hoped for the best.

The shop I bought it from was a ‘Smoke shop’ and I was in there a grand total of about 3 minutes. I was higher coming out of the shop tbf. Different world over there man. Mind blowing. Silly shit is demonised and stuff you’d think is a little more risqué is embraced.
Looks as if we’re going that way here now too.

i’m not sure if chucking an 18650 away once or twice a week is better than throwing a smaller one away every day, tbh. but i get your point, 2ml limit never made any sense, when you buy liquid in a 10ml bottle anyway.

I regard any device that can't be recharged, refilled and have the ability to change the coil as disposable.

The current games of making Ds with larger batteries and increased capacity is meaningless as you end up sending a larger lithium battery and a larger case to landfill instead of several smaller ones. Same goes with Ds that can be refilled - if the battery can't be recharged and/or the coil can't be changed then it's still bin fodder as soon as one of the last two craps out, or - can be recharged, but can't be refilled and/or the coil cant be changed. Essentially, they're all the same shit shallowly disguised and promoted as a huge leap forward.

The most recent release I've noticed, is Innokin releasing some D product where you buy separate batteries to throw away after a single use as they don't have recharge capability, so less plastic gets thrown away - I don't know if the 'pod' or coil can be replaced and/or if it can be refilled as I found it this 'innovation' too depressing to read but the cynic in me believes probably not. I didn't have the stomach to read further.

Even though the writing has been on the wall for some time I get the impression the feckers churning out these poxy things are dedicating all their efforts into trying to con people into believing that throwing larger brightly coloured pieces of crap onto the street less frequently than smaller brightly coloured pieces of crap is environmentally friendly.

Personally I'd like to see their businesses go under. It's just sad that in the longer term they'll probably take a lot of others with them.

If you're referring to the Trine then Innokin have said the removable battery is rechargeable, and the pods are refillable.

Here's an example of a TPD compliant rechargeable refillable disposable Aspire One Up R1 Disposable Pod Kit (first on the market a couple of years ago). You can not change the coil or pod.

Sometimes these kind of devices are sold with a bottle of liquid.

Here are some newer versions -

Both still a disposable, because you can't change the coil.

[Edit: if the Snowplus Clic makes the pods available separately, then it wouldn't be classed as a disposable; but the other 2, the pod is fixed in to the device.]
