Vape Tax.. we all knew it was coming

I thought he meant 26 Oct? (as in date of month, not year 2026)

The Spring Budget document, which sets out the details, said: “The Government will introduce a new duty on vaping products from October 1 2026, with registrations for the duty opening from April 1 2026. The rates will be £1.00 per 10ml for nicotine free liquids, £2.00 per 10ml on liquids that contain 0.1-10.9mg and £3.00 per 10ml on liquids that contain 11mg or more per ml.

I would say shortfills will go up by £5, but they will be banned long before Oct 2026.

I knew the new vape tax wouldn't come in straight away because it would need time to set up but 2 1/2 years away is a bit of a bonus. I guess there is no mention so far about taxing vape hardware.

No more of this then, £30 tax, on the 3 for £18, not including the 20% vat of course.
