Why on earth would they attempt to engage with us? The end users? They know we actually know what we are talking about, and not afraid to tell it like it is, putting any one of us in a debate with them would be political suicide:-

Can you imagine, looking at what has been televised recently, if clive Bates for exampke or dr farsalinos (sp?) Was put up alongside these muppets, it would be immediately apparent who knew what they were talking about and who was talking out their arse.

I've not even had a generic response from any of the mp's I emailed. I dont believe the bbc tried to talk to anyone at any of the january meets.

They don't want our opinion, they just want to tell us what our opinion is.......

I agree, we should do all we can on social media, only if that gets big enough will mainstream media take note, and then, only to trot out the same old ill informed lies that have been debunked so many times its pitiful.

Maybe we should be using cigs as the ignition point in a few well placed conflagrations, say pharmaceutical factories, tabacco warehouse and government offices.....

In a way it's rather unfortunate for the minister, as being the representative for Health and Social Services in the assembly, he will automatically be expected to <strike>pontificate</strike> - sorry, have an opinion on e-cigarettes/vaping whether correct or not. It's even more likely that he's just picked up the current Labour Party Briefing on e-cigs and be repeating it line for line. As the title infers, I would suggest that he becomes better informed and not bleat what the rest of the sheep throughout politics are currently bleating. This attitude does nothing to inform or educate people, either the general public or his constituents, but instead maintains a climate of fear (with all the 'won't they think of the children' namby pambyism and sensationalism of the Daily Mail type red tops)

As we know, there are plenty of articulate and peer reviewed scientific documents out there (as, for example those read by the EU ministers and then apparently ignored to produce article 18 of the TPD). I hope that some of the Welsh vapers might inform Mr Drakeford, in their own words, (and ideally in Cymraeg? assuming he understands it) how successful vaping has been for them and provide access to the science via weblink, etc so that Mr D can read for himself? I realise that at the end of the day our opinions will probably be ignored again, but if we can't inform him, then maybe your local press might run independent articles that you could write ...

Time to start looking for everyday items that contain our "toxic" ingredients and send all these kinds of articles to puppets like him.

And Nope, you're quite right, Chegs, a list alone won't help, but let's see - Had a quick look in the bathroom this morning at 5 things, and I found 3 that contained VG: Wilkinson's fragrance free Baby wipes (oh no! "won't they think of the children", etc ...), Sensodyne toothpaste and Aquafresh toothpaste ... I'm not sending the full packs, but I'd happily send such ministers, MPs and MEPs the empty packaging with the 'dangerous ingredient' outlined ...

Now, being a wee bit more sensible, maybe we could make a photo compilation on POTV of the ingredients info on all the daily products we all use that contain VG, PG and flavouring (the toothpastes had that too)...

yeah this guy is very uninformed as are most of the general public some of the excuses against ecigs i've heard are laughable - ecigs lead to smoking - its more toxic - the devil makes ecigs - kids stick them in their ears - itll upset people because they think you're smoking

LilyRed That's a good idea,POTV thread with pictures of all the items we can buy in supermarkets/grocers etc that contain one/two/three or all four of the ingredients in an e-liquid(also include pictures of Off-Licences as they sell strong alcoholic drinks like vodka which we use to cut VG in some liquids)
