They have defined a disposable (or single-use vape) as something that is not rechargeable or refillable (or both).

The number of people vaping in the UK has stalled, while disposable vape usage has fallen, a study suggests.

Whereas now, in most/ many supermarkets they now have dedicated recycling bins for vapes (separate from the ordinary household batteries recycling bin).

In any large store, most of the "recycling" bin contents just end up in the trash in the long run. They put those there to make you feel better about buying something that is really disposable. Unless someone shows otherwise, nobody is taking these things apart and recycling the plastic. Most 'clean' plastic isn't even being recycled let alone plastic with batteries, electronics and other muck inside. Who do you think is being paid to take these things apart and cleaning/sorting all the materials for recycling? What products do you think are being made from recycled vapes?
