What's new

Am I not understanding this correctly !

Ive found the article about it. Here it is. The kit is comprised of the Feedlink Mod and Revvo Boost Tank. This vape kit is powered by a single 18650 vape battery (sold separately). This is a semi-regulated device that draws power directly from the battery and is intended for advanced users only. ... The Revvo Boost is a 24mm vape tank, with a 2ml fill capacity.
Im confused myself now as it states that it draws power directly from the battery. Surely there must be a regulator of some description it it.
I agree, it's not really explained very well is it .

@aspire Can you possibly help explain how the Feedlink mod can both draw power directly from the battery and be limited to 80 watts please?

That all sounds right to me but I just wanted to be absolutely sure. When I watched the official aspire video, the bloke put a 1800mah cell in it but I couldn't see exactly what it was other than an Aspire brand.
You did right in being concerned and wanting to know more about the safety aspects of it.
Aspires blurb is confusing. Im guessing if you saw a 1800mh batt being used, that will have a higher CDR of around 30A or more which will be safe if its drawing 28A.

I'm going to use an HB6 32amp cell in it until I know for sure or more likely just put my own dripper on it for now.

Here's a little test for you. See how the Revvo Boost Tank vapes on the Feedlink with a fully charged battery, then take the Revvo Boost tank and put it on a dual battery regulated mod set to 80 watts, and compare the vape. That should give you a clue as to whether the Feedlink is bucking the voltage down to 2.8 volts and thus working at 28 amps, or not.

That's a damn fine idea. I'll give that a go tomorrow night.
