Flavour Ban?

I think the gist Si is that Zou thinks the flavour ban should make no difference because you`ll still be able to get your nic hit, my argument is that vaping is more than just a nic hit, which I think was also the opinion of Rich. Notwithstanding the foregoing crossing swords with Zou is an excellent way to pass an hour in an otherwise boring afternoon.

It is more than that...

..but the only difference it will make is what flavours e-liquid manfacturers are allowed to sell.

That's my point.

.. and I don't think people should be needlessly worrying about anything else.

It's manufacturers that are getting screwed, we'll be fine.

I think it's just because I've seen it all before, so many people were saying that a 2ml tank rule or the 20mg nic limit would send people back to smoking. ... it didn't. I get that people don't like stuff being taken away by the government, I don't either... I currently have to ride 15 miles to fill up my scooter with petrol that won't make it blow up, it sucks... but I'm not going back to walking everywhere.

I have the same attitude to vaping and I'll continue whatever the government does, I'm not going to let this drive me back to smoking and I don't think anyone else should.

Actually anyone connected to the industry will be getting screwed, not just manufacturers.

I want to have the right to be able to walk into a vape shop and buy a shortfill bottle of Mango flavoured eliquid and not be told I cant because the government thinks some snotty 14yr likes Mango.

But they don't care because youth drinking is declining.
But youth smoking is declining too!
And currently very low as well - around 3% of 15-year-olds were classed as regular smokers, down from 30% in 1996.
But still the government are somehow justifying the harshest tobacco laws in the history of the world (excluding Bhutan in 2010, and even then the ban was reversed a decade later). And also as a global outlier.

When it wasn't (when I was a teen) and we were all going out to clubs and getting wasted on the seafront every week they took action against alco-pops and it was the same stuff in the papers every week like with vaping now.
Were (any) alcopops ever banned?
I know there was talk about it at some point, but I don't recall any specific legislation applied to alcopops...

yea, that reply made sense. but the question i asked you initially is what you think people are addicted to, if not nicotine. @Richard Winter said the act of smoking. obviously that’s not it. otherwise people would just smoke sawdust and toenail clippings. the addictive substance is nicotine. part of the addiction is reinforced by fidget/habit and/or other products of tobacco combustion.
It's quite complicated... (maybe that's why there is some confusion going on about it in this thread)

Nicotine is the addictive substance, but the hand-to-mouth oral fixation, and even seeing smoke or vapour exhaled, are all connected to the enjoyment and habit of smoking (these are also associated with the user's relaxation, concentration etc, or association with).

That's why people who cut down and give up nicotine quite often continue to vape (at least for a while, or longer) using zero nic. They are not addicted to nicotine anymore, but enjoy the ritual and association with what they felt while smoking (but using zero nic).

still none of it relies on bloo slushy flavour concentrate.
:)
Yes, but that fave bloo slushy from Bloo Slushy Supreme Vapes gives those bloo slushy lovers the maximum possible enjoyment from vaping.. and no other flavour hits the spot... 😉
