House of Lords Qs on Ecigs

@bijou Oops, should have seen that!

Compared to smoking? Really Barroness? Or did she see someone chucking a cloud and thought "that looks unpleasant"? Or worse, she actually believes some of the BS spouted by the anti-vape brigade.
I think she's been reading the scaremongering BS in the tabloids.

Either that or she's been talking to the Welsh health minister, Mark Drakeford.

Yep! Sounds like she was referring to news reports of watered down reports of studies carried out on mucous mebrane cells. How they lost their immune capabilities over time, quite a long time. What the media never reported was that cigarette smokers' cells all died very quickly in that same study.

Wasn't it less than 24 hours for the cells exposed to tobacco smoke? And there's also the latest BS from Hong Kong about vape aerosol being a million times more toxic than air. In Hong Kong?!?!?!

Forgive my lack of understanding, but when they're saying "will the government..." who exactly are they asking? Is there someone from the government in the lords, or is it just a rhetorical question?

In this instance, they were asking the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health, Lord Prior of Brampton (Con)

Lord Brabazon of Tara

This is the best name ever, sounds like a space pirate!

I have nothing of value to contribute to this thread lol

Your wonderful UK government in action... bought and paid for by corporations.

We don't live in a democracy any more, we live in a corporatocracy.

The best thing you can do is try to wrestle as much influence over your own life as you can out of 'their' hands and hope for a revolution.
