This one has caused some head scratching I admit.
Some of you may recall that I bought Carol her first Authentic BB last year for her Birthday. I also bought a Konico Titanium Button and Integrated Drip Tip Set which she has used ever since.

About 10 days ago, she stripped down this particular BB in readiness for a New Coil and Wicking session. This was one of the many Vapeshells that we have.
All went well until I popped the integrated Tip back in and was about to hand it back for her use. "No Atomizer" it said.
Did ALL the usual things, iso alcohol in threads on BB and thorough clean of threads on the Tip. Still "No Atomizer". Syphoned all the liquid from the Boro, tore down the Vapeshell....... Nothing untoward. I have tried everything, different Boro, different Vapeshell, you name it, I have done it. Tried same Tip in ALL our other authentic BBs, same result.

Abandon this tip, pop in the usual 510 and Hey Presto!! It works.

So my question is, what on earth has happened?
I'm at a complete loss with this one, so suggestions are welcomed. :)

It's sounding like the tip is no longer screwing down far enough.

Do you have a Multimeter? if so you could try to test the circuit with the Boro out and the drip tip placed on top. Positive probe on the base of the coil and the negative on the drip tip.

Any chance of a photo of the drip tip upside down so it shows the bottom and shoulder to see if there's any sign of wear?

Another check is does the drip tip feel sloppy inside the Boro?

Just having some lunch, then I'll have a play Si :)

Just throwing another idea out there, does your drip tip have an O-ring? if so try it without just to see if that's not perished and squishing out.

Well how embarrassing is this then?
Marcin, the Guy who makes these Tips and Buttons came up with something to try, so...... Place a bit of kitchen roll, or any tissue, over Positive Pin, put Boro back in, screw in Tip, does it grip the Paper?
Yes it did......... But, it also highlighted the issue. Took the paper out and there was no indentation from the Shell's positive pin. Change Plugs, try again and....... It's working fine again.

We are SO anal about washing and drying our Boros that mix ups shouldn't happen. Well somehow the wrong Plug ended up on the wrong Boro.
Our fault.

if it's titanium it's not going to ware much .. but it could stretch the threads in the bb it being alu .. thus not making good contact ..
see if the other go's the same way .. maybe it's building up a layer of oxide try a heat treatment ?

I was going to say, swap over the tip or bung a recessed whatchamacallit and noraml 510 tip in - but it's all cured. :D
