Alternately, you could have a look at FT where they have 5 coils with organic cotton for around £3.

The lowest resistance is only 1.5 though:

I think the old hippie is right, time to get an RTA. Choosing one will be a minefield of subtle differences and terms I don't understand I'm sure! All I know is I don't want a dripper.

Ah, you don't know about FT. You have much to learn young Jedi.

Wise words as always from the old hippy, but it's not such a minefield.

As you're currently a MTL vaper that rules out most of the market. I would recommend a SXK clone of the Kayfun 5 from the aforementioned FT.

Fasttech is Chinese, you can save an extraordinary amount of money by buying from China (but it takes a while to get delivered).

I would say that if you're already rebuilding coil heads, you will really enjoy an RTA. As above, the Kayfun 5 (SXK or SJMY both do quality knock-offs). If you want something a bit smaller, the Kayfun mini V3 is a great option.

Maybe I'm doing it all wrong, but I vape direct to lung with my protank. Though it's not as impressive with the stock coil / wick! I get really nice clouds flavour and vapour with the 0.8 28g (ty danb) but it can get warm if you keep hitting it.

Scratched the RTA/RBA beginners surface today, this is probably a big commercial product but the GeekVape Griffin seems to get a lot of love. Also the Kangertech TopBox kit.

Is the Griffin a good buy?

There's no wrong or right, vape however works for you. I used to do the same. What you're doing is a restricted DTL vape, that's also how I vape, and Kayfun 5 works really well for that style.

Yeah, the authentic kayfuns are very expensive, but these clones are very good (I have one of each):

Not really quite on topic, but maybe pick up some resistance/no-resistance wire (I think stealth vape still do it). This means not burning the grommet, meaning only having to recoil each standard coil head once, from there on, just a quick dry burn.

you can buy pre built in fastech ..50 for about £3...

A friend has the sigelli fuchai 213 and it's a really nice mod. It's top of the page on ment's link at just under £40.
I use it for a day when I had forgotten to charge any of my batteries! It can be a bit tricky to set up exactly as you want but there's alot of customisation there but once it's right then your laughing!
