Sad times. I've no love or hate for paypal but it seems they are a cover all these day's. I wonder if the government have claimed for the cladding they lost in grenfell.

Gina has been on this forum every day .... and today has made great efforts to push the troublesome Squid DB post off page 1 of their sales threads. And is still ignoring our pleas for help.

Paypal claim, they may then start to take notice, seeing nearly $100 per unit being refunded by paypal should soon make them willing to help it only takes 10 claims and they lose 1000 dollars,Not wanting to refund is what 3f seem to be doing, Paypal claims will get you heard i feel.
One thing about this is Squid industries are the ones at fault, they chose to cut costs with cheap labour and probably cheaper materials but still charge $100 a unit. So they should be the ones responsible. Thus they should be recalling the mods or at least the batch(es)and refunding both buyers and vendors.
This whole event could see buyers without an issue claiming refundsthrough paypal and that will cost 3f even more money

I think it’s sadder that companies think they can ignore faulty devices and post a video advising people to damage their 18650s, personally.

3f have sold shoddy products and not done anything to correct the matter. Admittedly, some might say that this is a risk the buyer accepts when purchasing at knock-down prices from China. And, yes, it does place too much power in the hands of the consumer who wants to defraud, but in cases like this, where no reasonable response has been forthcoming, it’s a necessity.

You are 100% correct when you say it’s Squid’s production partner that caused the problem and is the party that should carry the cost of refunds. I still expect the middle man (3FVAPE) that sells it to be the party to mediate in problems and guarantee the refund. They should support their customers and not ignore them or make dangerous suggestions that are not a decent solution.

I still haven’t filed a Paypal claim as I count on 3FVape to take their responsibility.
I hope my trust will not be misplaced.

Good point @crustyfolker , thank you. If I'm honest, for me this has become more about the service than about the mod itself. I frequently recommend FT and GB on here, and would have been happy to do that with 3FVape also had this worked out. Obviously, I cannot do that now and won't buy from them again - IMHO that video was a humdinger.

I have now received another answer on my ticket ...... requesting pics ........ which I had already sent several days ago .......... never mind!

I've had similar answers from GB and FT before now to be fair ...... so I'll wait a few more days to see how they progress before going the Paypal route. But only a few.
