What's new

The TPD means nothing

Let's not start sucking eachother's dicks just yet. Nothing is in stone...

There is also no harm in discussion and debate, that is after all what a forum is for....

It is my view that only a fascistic eu suckling labour government would impose such draconian restrictions on it's plebs. The Tories would never do it. We have an election coming up. Vote wisely.

Don't be so sure. Tories are the corporate world's bitches. To be fair just the same as EU Labour too, they just make a really shallow attempt of not being so. Voting one way or another isnt enough, consider taking some action - even if only to sign the change.org petition. Calls to action ? Vapers In Power

Well if there's no dick sucking then I'm clearly on the wrong forum again.

I hadn't thought of that. Have you heard that's a plan elsewhere in the world? Or is that just your thoughts on the worst case scenario?

Well, regardless - article 20 of the TPD will be implemented in the UK, in 2016 no matter who wins the next election.

If the Tories/ win there will only be a referendum in 2017 followed by years of negotiation before the UK extricated itself from its EU ties.

I might be wrong, and you might be too, but I thought it was up to individual EU countries whether it is enacted? Some countries like Denmark and Holland have already introduced restrictions on ecigs, the UK hasn't. I see that as a good sign

Nope, we all have to abide by it.

The question is how it will be interpreted in the UK.(as in with a heavy or light hand) but it's been passed and it's coming.
