I couldn't hear anything too concerning about what he said but what strikes me is how out of touch with the real situation these people are. How exactly are they going to engage with the wider public ? The wider public don't know enough about it anyway to make an opinion.

"The wider public." Exactly why they say things the way they say them. Because the wider public does not know yet. Only what they tell them. That's why they are doing their best to keep the likes of us under control.
Only the other day at work, one of the security guards (smoker) commented on how unsafe my ego/mini OT was. Until I put him straight. Might now be a new user.

So he outwardly states that they need to consult with the wider public. I have looked on the welsh governments web site & as yet there is no open consultation. I have written an email to them inquiring about this & informing them i would like to offer some views from a more enlightened point.
Lets hope they do ask us. If i can find a window into an open public consultation on their website i'll post it up here so we can have our say.
If anyone else knows how to get hold of the relevant people, lets hear about it please.

We, the public, and informed on our lifestyle/hobby will never get asked, it will be bandied about a couple of council offices where people will shake their heads, because they know nothing.
The minister or his aides will tell the staff what they want them to know, and that will be the 'wider public general consensus'
It may sound defeatist, but it is reality, hand picked and ill informed.
Look at how many polls and discussions have supposedly happened, yet those of us that know our stuff never get invited to take part!
The publicity from ITV and various news articles is strengthening our position, and the government is scared!
