What am I doing wrong? Gurgling popping spitting!

Juice gets drawn into the cotton and the power is cut off before it can evaporate

Seems like a missed opportunity to me, must be plenty of people that have given up on vaping because of this issue.

Or maybe they prefer the fact that they sell more replacement coils this way! (Conspiracy?):18:
I'm going back to the shop where I bought the T22e in a minute to see what they say. They can check the unit for me to make sure there are no faults. If nothing then I'll see about trying a lower strength liquid.

I'm vaping 18mg now, it doesn't really make any difference to how I draw on it, I just vape less over all.

The common thing with the devices mentioned are that they aren't adjustable. For me that's pretty important to getting a device vaping how you want it to vape, especially when you are using stock coils and can't change it by wrapping a different resistance. Maybe it just needs the power adjusting up or down to suit your vaping style? .. but that's obviously something you can't do unless you have a variable wattage device.

If I wanted to take longer pulls, for me that would involve turning the power down or using TC.

The issue seems to be that the device isn't suitable for you, it might be perfect for someone else and how they vape. Everyone on this forum is using something different as their main tank or device, they aren't a 'one thing for everyone' sadly.

Just because you spend more money on something doesn't mean it's going to work for you. My main tanks were cheap, $20-ish... I've used much more expensive tanks that I didn't get on with at all. It's a pain and a bit of a journey but we've all done it, it does take a while to find the right kit for all of us.

While it's true that they want to sell more coils, the issue for you is that 18mg juice is a tiny market so there's nothing in it for device manufacturers to develop new products - almost everything is aimed at 3mg and 6mg users.

I puff 12mg liquid in tanks and squonkers and 24mg in my pod devices, and I take big long puffs. I can’t really advise at all about stock coil tanks as I don’t use them and only did for a month or two before I started on the rebuildables. @Simon G might be right though, and the device just doesn’t suit the way you puff it and there’s no ability to adjust power or airflow?

Saying that though I use a couple of pod systems with stock pods and no power adjustment which both work fine and don’t flood.

What I find remarkable is that, despite my crumbling brain cells, I correctly remembered that 2 out 3 of you vape high nic.

Can I make it a hat trick?

@Retroguy I'm thinking of a couple of possible issues, firstly liquid - I'd personally not use anything that doesn't have the ratio on it; also you say you have 60/40 and 70/30, does it state which are VG & PG? They'll generally say 60VG/40PG or 60/40 VG/PG indicating VG is the 60% or vice versa. Nowadays most liquid is 50/50 or higher in VG, but that's not always the case with cheap or Chinese produced stuff and they're often higher in PG (I'm certain when I started vaping it was with 70 PG stuff, 5 years ago though) - PG is much less viscous than VG and can flood coils, just like your issues. I'd be astonished if 70vg was causing these issues, you're more likely get a dry hit than flooding with that.

Secondly, I wonder if you are maybe drawing on the devices too hard? I don't mouth to lung (how most people smoked a fag) anymore but when I did I seem to remember not having to draw as hard as I did on a rollie IIRC? Oversuction, and if you do have high PG liquid, could easily cause your issue.

I'm not aware of the airflow setup on the Pockex, but with the Innokin, take a tissue/bog paper and lightly wrap it around the air intake and give a medium blow for two seconds on the mouthpiece, this will expel excess juice from the coil out the air intake and get you back to normal for a while.

I'd try the 50/50 stuff in the Innokin as that should be ideal for that model, its a very good starter kit and Innokin are a well respected company.

Let us know how you get on with the above :)

Ok thanks for all the tips guys. I went back to the shop and they said the same about the liquid.
The one I had used most recently was 70pg/30vg. They said the T22e was better designed for 50/50 juice. They cleaned it out for me, replaced the coil and filled it with some they had in stock and it's been fine ever since. I do get the occasional spit but I don't think it's really possible to get 100% spit free due to the design of these things.

Hopefully I can continue vaping hassle free now, I just have about half a dozen bottles of useless 70/30 liquid lying around now. I'll be certain to ask in future though.
