I also do get dry hits (burnt cotton taste) if i take a longer puff. for shorter puffs i dont get it. is it bcoz of the wicking?

People keep mentioning the wicking, but it's not.

Is it when the tank gets fairly low? I've not used mine for a couple of weeks, so I'm not sure whether it's still doing it. I'll dig it out tomorrow.

No idea, mate. It's not a tricky one to wick, so I can't imagine it's that.
