to be fair most youngsters i see drinking have bottles of buckfast or strong beer or cider. i think the alcohol you mention is more popular with students and middle class gin drinkers.

i’ll give you the mad dog, but in my experience the wickeds and daft sugary cider and suchlike are marketed and appeal to students.
