POLL How long did it take you to stop smoking?

Tried many times but with vaping this time I quit in less than a month

In an instant once the mrs thought it was the way forward. I had tried to go cold turkey a few few times, but found it difficult when she was smoking. Not her fault. But wow, it was instant when she came up with vaping. I owe my recovering health to her. 18 months fag-free from 30 odd a day.
We had a cheeky puff (to see if we still preferred cigs) after three weeks-stubbed and thrown out.

Smoked for 30 years got a starter kit and haven't touch a cig in over two years I've still got my first set up but have a dozen or so more now [emoji2][emoji2]

Update: Not smoked in five days - though the real test will be when I visit my sister as the family are all smokers.

less than 1 day from my first vape I was free from my 30 odd year habit , I didn't really want to stop smoking as I liked it so much but from the first toot on my starter kit I preferred vaping .. cig free for 16 months and counting

As soon as I bought my 1st e-cig (a nasty cigalike) I never smoked again. 35 year habit at 15+ roll ups a day finished with. I was stunned how easy it was and no craving at all. However I initially thought I'd vape for a few months and then stop. Almost 4 years on and still vaping. To be fair though I've not made any real effort to quit vaping yet. It's more about enjoyment and relaxing now, I rarely vape away from home.

Smoked for 26 years tried various methods and nothing worked. Took about 3 weeks of vaping before I gave up completely, had a wobble around 3 months smoke 2 ciggies and thought this is shit. Not looked back since. I'm approaching 6 months now.

About a week. Took a bit of trial and error getting used to my first kit but never looked back after that.

Took me several attempts but then I just swapped cigs out for vape and it's been over 4 yeras
