BBC Negative Vape Propaganda continues...

The Tories might get round to doing something about disposables, be assured that Labour will hammer all of vaping.
This is pretty much the only reason I slightly favour the Tories, they have been favourable towards e-cigs, leading the way worldwide.. but I don't know what they will do with disposables, or other changes to the vaping regs...

As much as I don't like the concept of disposables, I don't think they should be banned (for many reasons)...
In an ideal world, disposables would be a a transitional step to replacing smoking with vaping. However, the lack of regulation from the start has had many consequences, not least of which is the establishment of a black market, and many who otherwise didn’t smoke, to take up vaping :58:

I despise the idea of banning anything, but an overreaction is on the way, and I’m afraid that this debacle may end with much stricter regulations than just banning disposables :56:

The only solace is that both the media and politicians are easily distracted… MPs can’t keep it in their pants and corruption is endemic, so we can hope for a new scandal before too long :D

that’s not really down to the tories per se, though. it’s because of the overwhelming support for vaping from public health bodies and big charities, which have influenced the all party groups in parliament who in turn influence strategy and policy on smoking and tobacco.

The bullshit about the flavours and packaging being aimed at children pisses me off. Have you stood in the alcohol aisles in Tesco and looked at the flavours and brightly coloured packaging? Every fruit and dessert flavour you can think of is on fuckin display! Could the fact that there is plenty of tax income for the government on alcohol be a factor? Fuckin right it is!

Yeah, it’s not only alcohol, just look at how they hock sugar to kids :56: Companies have no shame, and the tobacco companies definitely were guilty in their planning on recruiting a new generation of smokers in their time. But honestly, most of the disposables the bourgeois are crying about are so childish I can’t imagine a teenager would be caught dead with one :21: I’ve always assumed most that rubbish was for the Asian markets…

If the government/councils do their job, and ensure that the disposables entering the country are legal, and stopped the sale to minors (yes, it’s called enforcing the law), the problem would be largely solved ;)

Unfortunately we can't uninvent disposables...

It isn't just disposables, there's a lot of factors at work.. WHO, Bloomberg etc...

But it's disposables that are hitting the Headlines and it's got worse In the last few weeks, i can't remember disposables been mentioned a couple of months ago, and now you can't go online without seeing or hearing about them. This is just my opinion and i really don't concern myself on the thoughts of others though i do respect their opinions. I am not here to change anything just giving my views on the matter.

it’s not, the industry is self-regulated (by the portman group) and has a code of practice for alcohol producers. every now and again products are banned and packaging needs to be redesigned. if you’re no happy with the packaging of alcohol on the shelves in tesco you could make a complaint about it. that’s how stuff comes to their attention.

you can see decisions they’ve made here https://www.portmangroup.org.uk/icp/

What we need is a load of trannies to take up vaping. The governments of the world love trannies, and would never go against them.

What governments do with trannies in private is their own business :18:
