BBC Negative Vape Propaganda continues...

I'm glad to see that Yorkshire Cancer Research do not support a disposables ban -
Vaping restrictions must not stop us from saving lives
https://www.yorkshirecancerresearch...strictions-must-not-stop-us-from-saving-lives

They mention some other reasons (than the ones I already mentioned) why they should not be banned -
Disposable vapes can be more accessible to certain groups of people, helping to ensure that everyone has access to vaping as a stop smoking aid.
Because they are cheap, disposable vaping products are useful for people on low incomes, or homeless people who can’t often recharge standard vaping pens. In addition, because disposable vapes are more difficult to dismantle or tamper with, they are useful stop-smoking aids in institutions such as prisons and inpatient mental health services.
Banning disposable vapes is not the answer. It risks other products filling the market without getting to the core of the problem. If bans are introduced, there should be exceptions for vapes being used as a stop-smoking aid.

I am still of the opinion they should be banned , i don't see vaping being restricted if they ban disposables, we have a forum full of vapers who don't use them. If they are banned then people who want to vape will have to do what we as vapers are already doing.

It's a good point about homeless/ rough sleepers, when I worked in the vape shop it was a struggle to keep up with demand for charging their gear, it was never a five minute thing and other customers felt uncomfortable around them. Sometimes it was an almost impossible balancing act, the homeless customers often had far better manners than the rest, but not having access to hygiene and washing etc. Well, go figure what the so called "ordinary" customers were saying to the staff....

The problem is, some people (e.g. prisoners, disabled, mentally ill, or homeless) simply can't...

Tbh, I am actually surprised that any vapers on this forum would want an aspect of vaping banned (even though, as I've said already, I don't like disposables).

I have Mental Health issues and am virtually a prisoner in my own home but i still manage, I do though agree that some people need them, i wouldn't include Prisoners, why should they have luxury when they have been naughty boys and girls. Making them prescribed might help, that way they would need to qualify for safety as well, I don't know how much juice they hold but aren't they breaking the TPD rules as well ?.

Just thought I’d add what @Toby iVapour touched on my wife has bad arthritis in her hands as well as most of her body so it would be very difficult for her to fill tanks or pods even change a coil on a regular mod or pod kit. So for people with disabilities the disposable vape is a godsend, I can do all the things for her but there is a place for the disposables if the current laws in place were policed properly they would be no need to ban them and the vaping community could carry on as we do now.

Which is why i said they should be prescribed, I understand they might be needed for certain people like your wife for instance, disposables need to be restricted at least, some of them you just don't know what your vaping.

Looking at it from a different perspective it could possibly be discrimination against people with certain disabilities as they can only use that type of vape kit. So is there another can of worms to be opened with the banning of disposable vape kits.

There is good and bad, for and against in most things we do. There isn't any regulations in disposables that i can see which is bad. The retailers that sell them are at fault here, not all but a good few. I remember Cigs being a similar issue, they weren't supposed to be displayed but most shops you go in they are on show or used to be, not been out in a good while,
What did people do before disposables ?.
