Is Fastech going dowhill?

I have kept my opinions pretty much to myself in relation to FT, but now I am going to throw them into the melting pot. I have placed approx 15-20 orders with FT. Out of these orders I have received 5! 4 within 45 days, and 1 in about 60. I have raised several tickets, and found them to never been answered in a concise and efficient manner, other than 1, which I will come onto later. I find this has raised my frustrations in the past, so this is now what I do.

1. I decide if I really want the product, and will I be impatient once ordered, If YES - I go to a UK vendor. If NO - I will order from FT. I pay the dollar for Singapore post and tracking, but god knows why! I pay via paypal, and set a reminder for 44 days later.

2. If 44 days later I have not received goods, I raise PayPal dispute, and raise a ticket stating that I have and the reasons why. I never raise a ticket before this stage.

3. I have one order, that slipped through the net, and I never raised the dispute till it was too late, that was 3 months ago, and FT still wont refund! $78.00 down the pan.

Now on one order, I got my money back and received the order about 2 weeks later, so as I am fair, I raised a ticket explaining I had received, but had been refunded and so I wanted to pay, replied, sorted and paid within 24 hours, so if they can do that when it benefits them, why not when I have a problem?

Tracking, just forget it, lost at all different stages, loads of refund vouchers for items, I have had to cancel, so I could get orders out of their door, none of them ever used.

I believe they do have a place in vaping, I really do, and they are like 'marmite' some love them, some loathe them, but lets all respect each others opinion.

I remember recording top 40 on my cassette recorder, almost get to the end of a song with total silence and then Mother would speak and ruin it completely.

This is where the radio cassette came into its own - recording directly from the radio

In the 80s, I was a MASSIVE Steve Wright fan and had some entire shows on tape that I used to play as I went to sleep (still love some songs because they were on those tapes).

A family friend was Steve Wright's producer and stayed with us when he was reconnoitring for the roadshows. He came up to bed, heard the dulcet tones of Steve Wright coming from my room and had a panic attack thinking he was supposed to be working

I did get lots of Steve Wright in the afternoon freebies, had drinks with Steve Wright and got to take part in one of the Southport Roadshows, though

Good times

i think the problem with FT ( and ive used them myself and am waiting on an order that is nowhere to be seen ) is that we as a nation have become obsessed with everything being done yesterday. But more than that ive waited longer for orders from amazon BUT from the moment of order placed to delivery 5 weeks later its been tracked followed and kept up to date. and therein is where the FT issues mainly arise. The Postal system used ( namely Singapore post being the main culprit) is beyond hopeless. tracking numbers dont exist or are the dates given are a fabrication of reality ( at least in the earths time zone) and i do wonder sometimes if singapore track and trace resides in another dimension in the space time continiuum. however we still use them because they are as cheap as chips. If we at least had some recognition and response that didnt just state the same oh we are very sorry for your loss but actually gave us some solid information we i think would be a little happier but instead it seems FT are as much in the dark as to where parcels are as we are and no doubt its become such a common problem for them that they just accept the service for what it is and carry on as though all is normal.

We may slate RM at times but heck it could be worse..our postal service could be run by singapore post!

Fleabag. Awesome! :D

Oh I did so love the 80's.

Actually my eldest son, who is 15, loves 80's heavy metal and 80's movies. He often says the 80's sound so cool and how he wishes he could have been born in that era. I'm not sure if it's just that he is brainwashed by me though. :)

I have two more FT orders on the way. About 3 days apart. First one was drippers, second was the M16 mod, some needle tip bottles, a watch (which I am probably taking a risk with) and a pack of fake moustaches :D

My main problem with Singapore Post is that their tracking doesn't work most of the time and it updates so infrequently. I could cope with the long wait if I just knew where it was on its journey.

When you know that, in theory, something could be packed and sent to SP the day of ordering, be on a plane perhaps in 24 hours and delivered from Heathrow a couple of days after that (so in transit for about 3-4 days), you just want to know where in the system the hold up's happening.

I was pretty good with this order - did well at forgetting about it - until Midnight got hers - then I was on tenterhooks
