UK Incremental Smoking Ban (Tobacco & Vapes Bill) Starts Journey Into Law

aye, i think particular blame lies with irresponsible and selfish influencers on the internet advertising the disposables that have always been illegal in this country that many of the teenagers are buying on the black market and puffing at school. entirely for their own benefit. talk about twisted, these characters will twist anything to suit their own ends. :)
Just a tad off topic but well done for managing to again get your pop at certain sectors of the vaping community.

Found this section from HM opposition interesting.

The bill will give the secretary of state for health and social care unlimited, and unchecked powers to make up whatever regulations they fancy.

Also, i had missed that the original bill included powers to regulate nicotine free eliquid.

Noticed that from the off, parliament are voting for legislation that more widely they have no clue as to what might be included.

Like let's ban rebuilables, mods that don't have built in batteries blah blah.
With psycho streeting in charge who knows what he's dreaming up or will do.

Wasn't that long ago he said he would smash vaping, if the industry didn't toe the line.

Personally I find some of the vape organisations that represent their paid up members highly sinister, to the point that I view them as traitors.

It begs the question that we should assume the worse and ensure we have enough hardware and supplies to cover every eventuality that they can throw at us.

you are right. of course it’s seen as a workaround for smoking by people that have never smoked. a workaround for smoking that doesn’t kill you, tastes of blue slushee and has spongebob packaging and flashing led lights.

the thing about weans and disposables is that it significantly changed public opinion. i think that’s what made this inevitable. of course the media were all over it. a school wean friendly and accessible workaround for smoking was the final straw.

The public were never onboard, TPD was pre disposables, our cards were marked, a couple of weans n hessian wearing vapers didn't help.;)

they weren’t onboard, but it seems to me they were quite indifferent. disposables led to campaigns, petitions and all sorts.

i don’t see that there’s a direct link with this and tpd.

The direct link is restrictions and bans..... 2ml , 72mg.....10ml.
I've covered the petitions before... orange robe wearing get a jaob nutters, will latch onto anything. plus no doubt some insider eliquid manufactures....follow the money...always

It's been on the cards (bans/restrictions etc) for years globally right since the beginning (2009 court case in US: Sottera v. FDA/Smoking Everywhere v. FDA)...
.. but yeah, the massive popularity of disposables didn't help.. and gave them more excuse to restrict...
