Stainless Steel? OK or not worth it?

Last few months I've seen a huge jump in the number of "normal" people using RTAs and RDAs. I think there is a good chance that Squonking is the future, partly because Kangertech have got that shit nailed with their two mods, whoever decided to sell the "coils" pre-built deserves a raise. I've seen people who would never in a million years build a deck happily swapping them out or changing cotton. The other aspect is the ban on big tanks. Technically the squonkers don't have any tank, they have a bottle filled with e-juice and the only limitation on how big they can be is the size of the mod.

Erm, whoever decided that thon crappy prebuilt coils that come with the Dripbox were decent enough to sell needs several boots to the balls. Utter gash. If the eejit had gone to 0.3 or even better 0.4 ohms, then aye, woulda been great, but they prebuilt were terrible wee spitty things that fried my juice.

SS is a nice wire to work with, makes good coils for my mechs. Doesn't work for me with certain juices, but does give a crisper flavour on my tobacco blends.
Any of you TC perverts want to try a length of 0.5mm 316 SS, let me know and I'll post you a yard.

I have a joy tech cuboid and have never used the temp control function. I did try some ni200 on my old sig 75 and found it hard to work with and the coils needed to be very long to get the resistance up. I build both dual coils (rda's) and single could in tanks. What would be the best wire to use? And what gauge? Should I be different wires for dual and single coils due to the ohms required for efficient tc? I am able to adjust the tcr on the cuboid. How does this help? And how can I find the values for each wire? Sorry for all the questions. I want to try temp control but I find it fairly confusing. Thanks

If I were you I'd start a new thread with this question (because it will go off the original topic). Briefly, Stealthvape NiFe30 is a good starting point, you can find some discussion on wire types here, tables for TCR values can be found online or (better) you can look up the TCR of your specific wire on the supplier's website.

Update
Fitted a boreas up with a 0.2 ohm dual coil setup and have been using it since yesterday.
Love it so far. very even vape @ 200C. most of all, the wire was child's play to build & fit. Instant ramp up at anything over 50W.
Glad that you tempted me @Mr Numpty

Would love to try some ss please. See if tc is for me. Just seems like another variable to play around and get right though.
