What's new

Struggling :(

Actually 0.2mm will be high, try twisting 2 strands and heating them. Then wrap it as normal. I'd only use 0.2mm in a dual coil.

I got .20 before, pretty much useless unless you like high ohm builds I've found. You want some .28 or .30/.32 if you wanna be doing microcoils. I did the exact same thing as you though, was pretty frustrated.
Same as. :D

Ok thanks and yeah I have seen a few builds with people using .28 & .32 which would be easiest to wrap as this .20 is well springy

looks like its 0.20 mm NOT 0.20 AWG.. way to thin and pretty much unusable. and a common mistake. you need 0.28 -0.32mm thats why coils wont compress its to thin , to springy and breaks to easy. best shot you can try is a NON touching NON micro coil, just a standard coil with 4 wraps should give you around 1.8 ohms. try to compress that stuff and you'll just end up with shitty ohms all over the place and hot spots and most likely the legs snapping off.
get a roll of this and you'l be sorted

1 last question, what size drill bit should I be wrapping it around?I have tried 2mm and 3mm

crap pic i know but this is 0.20 mm.. cut a length and then double it over in the middle so you have 2 strands around 3 inches long, then wrap coil around 4 times like in the image, that should do the job

oh and make sure the centre post is the 2 open ends and neg post the closed folded over end

1.5mm drill bit but i use the smallest philips head micro screwdriver, though even a toothpick will do the job.

Ok guys thanks for the tips
I twisted 2 starnds together and made a micro coil, looks a hell of a lot neater and crimp together nicely

.20 is absolutely fine, and I vape anywhere between .5 and 1.4ohm, show us some photos of a build, Aaron1988

Edit: Ignore, should check to see if thread extends beyond first page!

sorry to hear that... but thankfully for me.. it worked well... my first / second attempt at building a coil.. used a 0.20 mm kanthal!
